While We Wait: Boredom Strikes Back

Is that towards Matt or me? I understood the situation completely, from an IC point of view. And that's how I chose to play it. And if that wonderful NES were to pop up again, your Stratego Kings would still have to worry about waking up with Bladeist blades slaughtering their people in unceasing religious holy war.

The Swade got eaten by Myocaca, and I sacked Myocaca's capital. QED? But I'm referring to your judgment of the situation between Matt and I. Aaaanyhow...

VERDICT: Only four NESes have ever broken the 5,000 post mark in one thread. (Only 10 NES threads have broken 4,000.) The entire LINES II saga is probably the longest group of posts dedicated to one NES with well over 10,000 posts...though some of the EQ franchises might have a competing claim. StJNES and RtoR2 are the only ones among these that were really before my time. (I lurked around the end of ITNES.)

Given a few more years, the NES development thread will probably climb to be forum leader in both posts and views. There's also something rather ironic about the thread for the development of NESes outpacing all the NESes it spawns. But currently, ABNW Pt. 2 is the proverbial Da Vinci Code of the NES forum in popularity. Take that as you will. :mischief:

If someone ever quotes NES2 V or LINES II in an update, they will probably win my undying admiration. We need more obscure backslapping that forces newbies to go back and read all the old masterpieces, dammit. :p

Time to think about restarting BirdNES 3.

Whoa...I do not even remember what my orders were...

I think it was something like expand, capture some others, sacrifice them to the gods.

I hope you are not teasing, sir. Its not very nice to get ones hopes like this

Mmm... you got your personal life sorted out? You better update where we left off, those are still my longest orders ever. :p

Don't toy with me, Birdy! My poor heart can't take it!
Things are out of crisis mode, but still too unsettled to find the time to mod a game and moderate. But i am planning to revive it. The revival will begin with the update i was working on. I will have to change how I update and probably reduce the much of the story narrative i wrote for a more traditional NES style. Former players will have dibs on their nations then I will open it to new players. :)

Re-start it, not revive it please? :/

I was enjoying it where it was going so far. Though I was kind of stuck....

Ooo I would be happy reclaiming the Otts.

Sup /nes/ 06/03/10.

I doubt any of you remember me, but I used to be a NESer once upon a time.
I doubt any of you particularly care, but I will now resume being a NESer.
