Anyone bothered much about Civ5? I dont want to install Steam at this juncture and I'm a bit discouraged by some of the mechanics I've read about, so I'll just be watching how it goes.

I'm cautiously optimistic (read: completely psyched but expect to be let down) by the AI. I read an article on the AI and geeked a little because of its relationship to real concepts in political science/international relations.

You have to use steam? I pretty much avoid using steam, GOG, direct2drive gamersgate I use them all before i go with Steam. I guess I'll not bother with it.

Shouldn't have to. They list Babylon as a bonus civ if you download through steam, which seems to imply there'll be a store version
