I think Portugal could've held Mozambique as well (given how they were doing great in most of their overseas provinces until Iberian Portugal commited suicide with Soviet-backed influence over junior officers precipitating the esteemed/much-hated carnation revolution... casting out its African provinces into decades of utter chaos), but I definitely agree with your list Karalysia, and that the US also sabotaged several western nations in Africa... though in the case of Portugal they did give up when they realized the locals weren't into it, which was also what the Soviets found out before they shifted their strategy to Portugal. Ugh, its such a heartbreaking story. I'm surprised I found something so 'conservative' on wikipedia. (I hope it's correct.)
True as that may be, there was still arguably more room for the British and French to exercise a larger influence on then-current events than they did in our timeline. At the very least from a standpoint of European post-War development.
... maybe if Eden wasn't taking all that prescription medication Suez wouldn't have happened or at least not borne out so disastrously? I'm treading on thin ice as to whether it might have happened or not at all, but there was a fairly solid Discovery documentary on the medications he was taking back then, some pretty heavy stuff they didn't know had significant side effects back then.
Shadowbound is looking for people to participate in his D&D Pathfinder campaign. He wants to start it sometime or something. He is too afraid to ask people himself.
There is much more beyond. One always begins the journey out of the old reality as a loner, but always finds many friends along the way. Whether you see a dead void or a explosion of infinite possibilities depends on what you allow to resonate within yourself.
One of the characteristics of my ideal person is deciding to just not feel emotions such as hate, anger, worry, etc because they are wholly unnecessary and tend to lead to worse outcomes than otherwise.
