It's brilliant here!

Kudos to those who have seen the film

Not getting the Bronson angle? :( Nevermind.

I don't want to bump my thread, just to say I am working on the update - apologies once more yet again. Strange times. That party wasn't too crazy BTW, and Alex994 did not attend, although he is in roughly the same part of the UK as me right now.

Would people be interested in a diplomacy and politics based first-century BC Roman republican NES?

The idea would be to have players representing individual Roman senators - hopefully there'd be lots of them although only the really important ones (Caesar, Pompey, Cicero, Crassus, Cato, Catulus, Catiline, Clodius, a few others) would have to be active all the time, while other players less willing to commit their time could be lesser men. Orders would not be necessary for all players by any means and most activity would be in-thread diplo, with updates coming whenever given issues seem to have resolved themselves.

I'd probably start it up in 63 BC because that's when things start getting most interesting.

All players of all abilities and styles would be very welcome, although the important players would have to be active and IC. I would post clear rules and no prior knowledge of the Roman constitution ought to be necessary provided you read them.

I'm reasonably certain that my involvement in the NES was not publicized. At all. You're probably thinking about something else entirely.

Yeah I just wanted to feel involved. I thought I remembered something, but I'm probably wrong. It's just that I... I... miss you guys. :( bawww furreals. One day I'll be welcome back in #nes.

Just got kicked for typing "r/u" instead of "are you" because I got a momentary cramp in my hand.

Bill3000 had the honors. :hatsoff:

With Beej's permission i'll happily start a new one.

Maybe at 5000 we'll start a new one, but we will need an interesting way to figure out who starts it.

How about based on successful updates of a NES?

Well, naturally Abaddon won't be allowed to bully non-NESers into voting for his preferences this time.

Rather than a popularity contest, I think something lodged in actual NESing would be fairest (do many people other than me actually care?! Other than to stop me?)

yes only legitimate neser-only lobbying organizations shall be permitted

Well, I'm currently operating a consistently-running 25+ update NES, but it doesn't have written stats, so that might be an unfair rubric to base it on.
