while we're speaking about re-establishing community threads, can the stickies by the permanently banned user be taken down and replaced by an active member of the community who can actually edit them?
it would probably be better for the face of the nesing community if its stickies were not controlled by a member permanently banned by cfc moderation
Anyone could have started the poll. I'll do it now.
Someone can open a new FAQ thread and copy the appropriate content, then i will unsticky the old one.
I locked it to keep folks from posting inappropriately. I will unlock it tomorrow.umm, why was the notice board locked? the whole point of a notice board is to be constantly updated
also, the notice board still contains PDMA
It doesn't 'discuss' anything.it discusses a moderator action (a permban)
it's also ridiculous that the nesing board talks about "fond memory" of a permbanned member in a sticky
it's also also ridiculous that the formatting is in a quote and therefore annoying to parse and edit
the notice board should be a utility thread not a memorial for a permbanned member
it's also also ridiculous that the formatting is in a quote and therefore annoying to parse and edit
Abbadon's name is mentioned twice. Which one causes you trouble? This is the most salient complaint, Bird. It makes the rollover for the thread read as a memorial rather than a welcoming of new members, and if we want to quote or edit certain sections we have to copy-paste, which does not work particularly well in this forum.
EDIT: I also can't see how post #5015 is PDMA, since unlike the thread it doesn't implicitly pass (negative) judgement on moderator actions.
