Thlayli, you may note that if you want something with a historical feel, there's always hosting it yourself.

All mods have failed nes'

Oh no Mr BJ, I would me much more subtle than that. What point is brutality? It will only increase the time until BirdNES3. Perhaps I will visit and woo your daughter.. i'm sure you would rapidly get back into NESing gear then.. if only to keep my eyes locked on a computer screen rather than your daughter! ;) lol.

As I often do late at night, I was surfing the web when I came upon this gem of a game. It's called Neptune's Pride. You rule a civilization in space and conquer stars. It's one of those "4X" strategy games. It reminds me of Diplomacy. Essentially it's supposed to be about intrigue and stuff. I figure that as NESers we love stabbing each other in the back.

Games are capped at 8 people. What say we try this out?

Edit: Eh, I'll just go ahead and join a game and you can all catch up. I found out after trying to make my own game is that you have to pay money to make your own. However, there is conveniently an empty game we could all probably try to join.

Epsilon Muphrid (FREE).

Come on in and hang out!

i'm there.. can't see Epsilon Murphid.. my free games are; Upsilon Ras Algethi or Zeta Edasich

 Well in the past some of her bf have been just terrible and you would certainly be an improvement over them; she has improved her taste now and has a steady so I am not sure how you would fair against the competition. He is also handsome and is working towards a PhD in Chemistry.

Oh, I guess the games fill up faster than I thought. We need to all be online at the same time and coordinate I guess. I propose we use #nes as a tool!

Totally up for that! And I'm finally finding some time to work on LINESIII... my dad had a stroke, which made my timing for starting a NES spectacularly bad.

EDIT: Joined a game in Kappa Menkent.

Mothers want Doctors and Lawyers, maybe Engineers but not Chemists -- well, at least he's moving past the stage where he might be cooking in the backyard: you don't need a PHD for that. :p

No lawyers please, otherwise we are not too particular. My wife's family and mine are chock full of doctors and PhDs so we'll just wait and see. No Lords yet though. ;)

Glad to see I'm not the only one in here with a family full of professors and medical doctors (it's just my parents who somewhat dropped the ball in that regard, but everyone else...).

Entire family is made up of doctors/surgeons/nurses. They are disappointed that I'm doing an English/History double major and eventually will be gunning for my MFA in Creative Writing and Phd in Roman or Greek history.

 You may not know this, but Abaddon is working his way around the world from NZ to England and if I announced that I was starting a new NES instead of reviving BirdNES 3, I'm sure he would find a way to get to New Mexico and give me "what for" in some brutal manner.
In any case, my plan is to revive that game first before starting a new one. At the moment I do not have time to run any game in the manner it deserves. But if someone wants to try a Dies the Fire game i will gladly help with rules and stats etc. to get it rolling.

I'm happy to report that I don't have a single toff, rupert, quack, fop, make-work or vampire anywhere near me. [1]

[1] Respectively, the well educated, officers exception noted for those who rise up the ranks, doctors, analogous to the American use of 'suits', public servants not including those practically inclined lawyers.
