The only reason that women don't have pay equality is because they don't want too. There are a lot of high-paying, dangerous jobs out there with manufacturing, fishing, heavy equipment ect that are male dominated. Also, research shows that there are less women than men managers because women usually won't climb the ladder that far (kudos for those that do!) because of the need to socialize.
Of course, these are just generalizations: plenty of women do dangerous jobs or manage. It is just statistically, even if given equal oppertunities, fewer women than men will take higher-paying jobs because they like their freedom-time to socialize, raise kids, and the like.
