While We Wait: Boredom Strikes Back

Nothing "highbrow" enough for you?

I know you do.

I did come away from the neses I have done with ideas on how to change the rules. Dis's rule set is quite a mature one, its also well thought out. So there are only a few thing I need to look at in more detail (or I so I hope!)

Also how can you turn down near fully automatic stat generation? Why pick an inferior system!

Well, what do you want?

I'd be content with dragons on opium and Napoleon sporting outrageous biting mustaches.

Who wouldn't?

I'd really like Perfectionist or das to get their NESes out of development hell. :p

Pfft, give us a setting, not a "I only play with these people" restriction :p

I think it's been pretty clear that I don't do fantasy or sci-fi or non-Earth maps, and outside of that don't tend to like being forced to write stories. Nevertheless, this thread isn't my Twitter, and I'm just one person.

I'd just like to get more of you "aloof" players back involved/

Hahaha.

Hahaha.

Hahaha.

No, but actually I'm hoping to get to work on that any moment now. The hopefully temporary loss of my writing computer is just the latest excuse impediment on the way there. My projects may be in hell, but they did have development. :p

Don't use TVtropes to try and weasel your way out of your own NES Dachs. I demand you continue your ATL and then do a NES on it.

Not that you are a good mod or anything.

I'd run a historical NES ... eventually ... if someone would recommend a setting that fitted in conveniently with something that I actually know stuff about, viz. hellenistic times or the 16th-17th centuries.

do a hellenistic one with each player playing a city-state. I call corinth.

Corinth was never independent in proper hellenistic times; I mean after Alexander. An althist of a hellenistic variety would be good anyway. But I'm too busy to do one soon. Eventually is the crucial word. :p

The very idea of a historical NES is an insult to the rich tapestry of the human past ;) - far better to have scifi and fantasy* where the arbitary nature of player contributed stories and rulesets is a valid choice ;)
