While We Wait: Part 2

So, does anyone in NiNes think that there will be a serious war any time soon? I very much doubt it.

Then maybe you should stop torturing and killing divothiests.

What should a Banist care?

Chancosanx outlawed Alse first, anyway. In any case, the Divotheists rioted in the streets and attempted to overthrow the government. That is no proper behavior; they had to be punished.

Well slightly less then half of population is one form of divothiesm, so supporting other divothiests will strengthen any feelings of brotherhood and unity the Zemorans have towards the Adari.

I get to. You and Das constantly taunt me from your signature. My fate is not sealed.
I just quote the funniest thing that I've read recently that applies in some way to me. And that's still it.

The ruleset seems to promote a lot more building up than warfare. It seems war is too costly when peaceful growth is a much safer alternative.

Who knows though, someone might do something stupid soon...:mischief:

I maintain the most balanced military force in humanspace for that very reason. :p

there are onyl three potintial conflicts right now.

One:
NAM Vs. Furians+Emergents
the Cause would be the Furians continued lack of doing nothing till NAM get's fed up, and consumes their co-habitation colony. this is the most likely.

Wrath Vs. anybody
hostile and xenophobic, and on a late start, to top it off. they are being penned in, and with their outlook, it is only a matter of time before they attack somebody.

Nekomi VS. the furian
the third conflict I can see, Over the System of Ross. unlikely though, since I am trying to get some sort of agreement concerning it done with the Furians (no reply)

the Accendency Is a wild card, since I have no real read on them.

There still seems to be a lot of expansion space left in that NES (though I can't find any maps, which makes judgement more difficult), so a war would be unlikely right now. When things are more divided war would become nigh inevitable.

Only territorially. Most of it remains undeveloped. There's no point in fighting over empty territory when you can still develop what you have.

And? That just shows how silly you all are. You still have to actually develop the systems, which takes a thousand plus EP. Generally there isn't much point in seizing territory at this stage because the cost-to-benefit isn't high enough.

All I can say is that I will be happy with the systems I've claimed, and won't be launching any wars unless they're defensive counterattacks.

Well then ask Niklas for a map and swear on the holy Beluga that you won't show it to any of us :p

Tensions vary, there is a mad race to claim, but it won't be until those claims are more than flags on spherical chunks of mineral and whatnot that serious danger will develop.

EDIT: Yeah Iggy, I'd keep a nice plump buffer force on your Wrath border at all times ;) Those crazy cultists...

EDIT DEUX: I WANT MY PM

I wonder if there will ever be peace in BirdNES...

Considering that you've been one of the primary warmongers in the nes, I think it's perhaps hypocritical of you to wonder about that :p

:p Hardly! I have always saught peace but people tend to refuse my terms ;)

Don't worry, even if war-weariness, compromise and pacifism raise their ugly heads my Hussars will cut them down immediately and start some war for the first reason that comes to mind. ;) Seriously however a peace of exhaustion might come in Europe; it certainly seems to be heading in that direction in some regions, while in others the defeat of one side is clearly a matter of time. However, Asia seems to be only beginning to heat up, and there are a few European factions that are yet to waste their offensive potential.
