Sure. But whoever pushes that button will 1.) take really godawful casualties because I have the best military in humanspace too, and 2.) promptly get jumped by the other side for being evil scum since I have been nothing but nice (if terse) to everyone else. You do not so easily get away with shanking the Paladin.

And, really, as far as I'm concerned the game should have been over on Turn 6, because Erik Mesoy won, so I have no qualms whatsoever with dying at any point. In fact, until recently, I was actively trying to leave the game. So if you want to try and get through my defenses, you're more than welcome to try. I could use some target practice.

It's horribly complicated modding those games, though, due to the fact that most of the scenario stuff is stored in text files. You have to mod all sorts of things.

Oh, yeah, on the subject of being shady and potential for violence, I'd note Capella is the only faction equipped with Bioweapons technology. Not to sit in judgment or anything, just some food for thought given their outlook.
