While We Wait: Part 5

Yeah, tell that to 7 foot 6 Inches Yu Ming! Beat that! He will block everything by just standing and will dunk without jumping high!

Yawn. It's true that the US team doesn't have any big men, but they do have LeBron, KOBE, and Chris Paul. I mean, come on!

I hope the moderator of a certain in-development modern NES is paying attention to this Ossetia stuff.

That can be his PoD.

On the election topic, I am voting for McCain, because he is the only person running who has any real experience in politics. Obama is just a poster child with no real understanding of how the world works. Much like all liberals.

For the record, American women can handle their swords: Gold, silver and bronze in fencing, baby.

Just brilliant, I wish I could fence just as well :(

As much as I would love for China to win the gold for Basketball, it's most likely not going to happen. Of course, unless the Redeem Team fails to redeem the dream team :mischief:

And China only has 1/5th of the world's population.

The FOX News of the NESing world.

Seriously Lucky, don't declare the entire left wing ideology to have 'no real understanding of how the world works'.

Look back on history and prove me wrong then.

What, you mean the whole part where Keynesian economics was proven to be successful at limiting the impact of recessions, or where the Laffer Curve was disproved, or maybe where trickle-down just increased the wealth gap? I don't think history's on your side...

Fox News is sensationalist and their prominent personalities (minus Sheppard Smith, he's the man) are blowhards and extremely annoying. That's before you get to their Guardian-esque, Al Jazeera-lite bias. It annoys me and I'm a rightwinger :p

Both are true, but the mass amount of liberal originating problems in today's and yesterdays world, far outweigh these two things. Sure liberals have helped bring awareness to subjects such as pollution and other environmental problems, but this means nothing when they continue to make extremely harmful mistakes all through history. If you want to blame anyone for problems with the environment, blame the liberals. They complain but do not act, ever. Many things supported by liberals attributed to this problem, birth control pills (which I think are an amazing invention) get into the water systems and hurt the wildlife populations by damaging their abilities to reproduce. Then we get all these crazy, ignorant liberals protesting about pollution and saying animals are dying, and blaming conservatives in general without ever looking at their own track record. I am not a 100% conservative, I do believe in some of the same things liberals do. But on average the liberal mindset is so wishwashed by the media and icons like Al Gore, that they have no clue about what really is happening in the world and that they to are the problem for many things. Liberals have proven, throughout history, recent and past, that they are unwilling to admit they are wrong, unwilling to work together with the right and continue to prove themselves ignorant in everyday life.

I enjoyed Culture Warrior.

It doesn't matter if the rich get richer as long as the standard of living for everybody else stays at least as good. If they got poorer, you'd have a point, but if their living standard stayed the same the argument about the wealth gap is moot.
