Good so far, however..
I have yet to write up the Swiech, that is unfortunate, but you are correct. The Issith write-up is actually in
Shakar because that is where their race originated from (go figure). That's linked on the front page now, by the way.
Swiech.. Swiech. Okay. At this point in the
minigame (*300 years before the NES begins), Swiech are known to be rat-people of questionable repute, who would trade their grandma for more shinies. This is of course an exaggerated generalization, but it is how people view them. Most Swiech worship the
Wengi, as do much of south-eastern Arda (the northeastern continent mentioned in the
pre-NES, but not so much the
minigame we're currently playing). The Wengi are endless, nameless gods, which are worshipped through ritualistic hoarding; be this of food, knick-knacks, objects shiny or colorful, often of value, much like in the warrens and nests of RL packrats. They live in Warrens (town? village?) which are ramshackle underground cities, often in mud or clay, but in coastal areas rock-hewn homes are preferable, due to less flooding. If a Swiech dies in a collapse, it is his own fault for living there. Think ancient medieval cities, built with no plan, but 10x worse.
I have yet to determine/extract a lot of information from nutranurse about familial matters, but we will cover that when we get there.
Link to the entire world map [for lurkers, yes, more cities have been added]. Circled in red is roughly where our map covers, more or less. [in east Barasia, the central snakey continent] As Gem Hound said, it is one tiiny corner of our world. The
minigame we're playing at the moment is designed just to flesh out our world more, and to have fun in our world setting.
EDIT: You are a bit confused. Basement 7 is -literally- right below one of the largest docks in the entire region. The red square represent a stair or some sort of access between the two levels.
