I am deeply offended. A little deeper next time, It's much more fun.

Why is it stupid? Even if I was raised in a certain culture, my background in different nations is still interesting and relevant, even if the relevance is only genetic.
You of all people should know that ethnicity, let alone nationality, has no genetic relevance whatsoever. Masada's Huguenot French ancestry will not show up in his DNA - and it certainly wouldn't make up a "percentage" of anything. Neither will Thlayli's Sicilianness, or my own Norwegian ancestry.

I like my women like I like my warfare: in the bushes?

i'm a pacifist at heart really

I play PC. I don't think there's a connection between the different systems, right?
There isn't.

I have it for PC. Can't play right now, but I'll probably have time during the week. PM me your Origin ID and I'll add you tomorrow.

Speaking of video games I have three free beta keys to Super MNC if anyone wants them, I don't know enough interested in it.

There's some genetic relevance, though it's muddied to the point of meaninglessness when populations interact. What's more significant, I think, is how some cultural things carry though even if language does not. I think my North Sea/Baltic ancestry has something to do with my liking pickled herring with lingonberry jam- but that's not genetic, it's just that it's a particular bit of food culture been passed down in a few branches of my family tree.

Still, I don't see why you're opposed to saying percentage ancestry. It's an interesting, if trivial set of facts, and it's a stepping stone to understanding family history and how that fits into world events.

Which is just another way of saying no "genetic relevance whatsoever". :p

Ethnicity = how someone identifies himself/is identified culturally. Quite separate from genetics, even if some people insists that a certain ethnicity is distinctive genetically.

I'd say there's genetic relevance between China and Peru. I'd say that the relevance is next to nothing when comparing Germany and Poland.

I'd be interested :)

Most family lines have been bastardized at some point in the history anyway.

Because there's no genetic marker synonymous with German, French or Norwegian. It's that damned simple.

Please point me to the genetic market that corresponds to German.
