It can happen, although I sometimes find such players to be kind of annoying, as I think their efforts would often be better spent enriching the thread, rather than serving as resources to the moderator and the moderator alone.

Writing a story is a completely different skill set from writing orders.

I think Crusader Kings 2 is supposed to be better, don't truly know though.

EU3 is fun, but only in the early and midgame. The endgame blows.

Since 'the early and midgame' lasts about two to three centuries, I'm pretty okay with that.

Generally, no, but if you look towards the major mod projects you'll find gold.

I agree with Dachs' sentiment about EU3's endgame.

The major powers rarely fight in the end. They just sit around and colonize things.
