Always wondered about that, but probably they just want him to work quite heavily at stuff.

My ongoing struggle as Newfoundland and Labrador continues. The Saltpetre war with Ontario ended up as a loss for me. I lost control of Saint John, a city which I had conquered from New Brunswick, which possessed my sole source of horses. I was unable to make any headway against Ontario, and as war weariness began to build up while Ontarian Longbowmen burned Gander, I found myself forced to a peace.

The war has had a rather negative impact on the Province. Now without horses and going into the industrial age, I'm unable to get cavalry. I've been trying to suck up to the prairies, who each have tons of horses, but none of the dirty [REDACTED]s will trade with me.

Even more problematic, my low tech rate and halted development during the war with Ontario has caused me to fall behind the tech leaders: Ontario, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Northwest Territories. I'm able to trade with Alberta, BC and Québec, but it'll be a tough game catching up, especially without the ability to take Ontario's beautiful, rich, rich cities... unless I want to launch an industrial age offensive against a fascist enemy, using only riflemen and cannons.

My general plan is to get Saskatchewan and Manitoba on my side against Ontario, and try to use my position to grab the choiciest pieces of the pie. Still, it feels like a longshot at this point.
