While We Wait: Writer's Block & Other Lame Excuses

He's a cool dude who hasn't been hanging around the NES forums as much as he should, as of late.

Well, a Feudal Europe setting would be the most enticing, but I will see what is most active before I get started. I've been reading through quite a lot of the older, longer threads. I am glad you replied, clearly you have been the mod for some very successful games in the past.

Well, right now, we've got a pretty broad selection of NESes going on, from Fresh Start (basically going from the dawn of civilization onwards) to 20th century to science fiction. I'd recommend looking at the active threads in our subforum, or just posting here in While We Wait- basically everyone in the community posts here, so if they'e running something of interest to you, they'll be sure to let you know of it. The 'Open Spots in NES' thread is also potentially useful, though it's quite out of date right now. :p

Also, thank you for the compliment, I'd like to say that I've run a few fairly successful projects. I've got a half-finished update coming along for GalaxyNES, though it's not the exact genre you professed interest in. ;)

I've literally (LITERALLY GUIZE) never heard of him is why I ask.

Welcome, Caprine. May I request that you check out TerraNES: The Civil Experiment? While it's slow-going as late (as the mod is computer-blocked by his tiger-parents and has a lot of schoolwork), he has never failed us yet. Plus, moar players is moar fun.

Welcome to NESing Caprine Synesth!

Welcome to NESing Caprine Synesth!
Priority warning. Perimeter restrictors disengaged. All stabilization delegates move to incursion hardpoints immediately.

Just noting that fate and real life has caught up to me again. *facepalm*. I still have access, but I will have less than than ever.

Don't worry, I will try to fulfill the few commitments I have.

Your parents should be thrown in camps for this kind of behavior. Not like death camps, but just camps for strict Asian parents that need to chill out. You know, like fat camp.

but that'd be an infringement on their personal liberties oh noe think about the parents poor parents

srsly i don't get why you need drivers' licenses, but not parental licenses

what we dont know of course is that terrance is actually a mass-murderer and because he is a miner (Sp) he Cant be tried in a court of law so his parence hasve to do the dissiplining of him

tihs usauly taked the form of grounding from ther computer :/

You can't what?

The same reason you think abortion you should legal?

this

The whole women's right to do what she wants with her own body thing? That's a reason that's generally thrown around.
It doesnt really match up saying they can do what she wants when it applies to abortion, but not actually getting pregnant.

I don't understand. Are you criticizing the woman's right to control her own body or are you calling the body of a child the property of its parents?

Oh - are you perhaps thinking I'm allowing a woman to treat her kids as she likes if I'm allowing her to abort, but that I'm not allowing a woman to treat her kids as she likes if I'm not allowing her to harass her children, making me a hypocrite in regards to personal liberties?

If so, please pull your head out of your ~moralism~ and ask a biologist what an embryo is.

It's additionally indecent - and unkind - of you to cross-thread my views into a bothersome abortion problematization when I'm trying to show support for Terrance.

edit: wow, i lost temper. sorry, i'm kind of easy on the trigger atm. lots of rl issues...

Nope!

Look at all these red herrings!
No what I object to is saying on one hand a women has a right to do what she wants with her body without state interference.
Then saying why don't we have parent licences, which is the state saying you can't have a child unless they say you can.

If you have a problem with red herrings, make your post clear upfront. ;)

And I have nothing against the woman breeding! I could easily have an issue with her parenting, however. Whether she gives birth is her own issue. Whether she, even unwillingly, mistreats the child, however, is not hers. That's the child's. And the child has no control over its own fate until a long time has passed.

However, it's not like I'm actually supporting parental licenses. It seems wrong to me in my gut, and I might be an ill victim of moralism for once, it just doesn't sit right with me. I have an issue with bad parenting and feel at loss in regards to what to do about it.

btw this is pretty good

Don't say seriously, if you don't want to treat your post seriously.

Come on dude. I typed "srsly." I wouldn't expect you to take me srsly if I typed srsly. I'm honestly not certain what kind of proper etiquette or academia requires SMS talk. Depends on the university? :p

Basically the whole thing was half-serious, I admit that; I have an issue with parents doing wrong things. But parental licenses? Nah, don't think I'd support it. I wasn't serious about that. I'd have to think about it, at least. Quite a lot even. Perhaps longer than my lifespan.

and sorry i said ass i have a quick temper atm. :)
