While We Wait: Writer's Block & Other Lame Excuses

Mine was dull... watched the ball drop in NYC on tv and that was about it :p.

I played the guitar in a New Years Eve concert, met and talked with a CFCer who was volunteering at the concert, then came home and wasted time on CFC because. I should have stayed in Petoskey. Would have been more fun, but it was a good time nonetheless.

I spent the last minutes listening to "F*** You I'm Drunk" by the Flogging Mollys, and then "Going Out In Style" by the Dropkick Murphys. Spent most of the night litsening to music too. Twas fun.

House party? I think that's the way to go. This time I was in various bars with my friends but didn't really enjoy it, too impersonal and commercialised.

1 restaurant sushi buffet with two close friends
2 take one of them to slightly dull, slightly interesting house party, he leaves after a while (he's clocking in at a 25th wake hour at that point, 2 am)
3 secret crush calls and we meet up on the street, we kiss
4 hang out at awesome bar with crush and her snobby friend, laugh and chat with the people she harasses
5 bring crush home, fulfil the prophecy for the first time, then fulfil the prophecy again

Good Job! Congratulations!

Indeed. The handsome Dane effortlessly seduces all the women (and men) while we look on enviously.

lj loves all the attention he gets from internet nerds who work out what "fulfil the prophecy" means and immediately blush.

I had a bunch of friends of myself and my sister come over, and we played Mario Kart, Super Smash Brothers, played various party games, then enjoyed good food, played pool, went out to the hot tub, leapt into the snow and back into the hot tub, then played more video games until 6:30 AM. Then I slept, got up, drove people home, packed, caught a flight, and now I'm back in Vancouver and I have class tomorrow morning because UBC thinks it's a great idea to start off on a Thursday.

Same here. Dreading the day that break ends (thursday).

Or perhaps I share it with you because I consider you my friends.

I'm an internet nerd too, mind you.

OK this is awesome.

Iggys plan sounds a lot like my usual New Year, except with the flight and all. This year I went to a party at a female friends place. We were more than 30 in a smallish flat, and as usual for me in parties, I sat alone in a corner for most of the time. I mean, I chatted with people when they came nearby and I made a good impression, I'm sure, but I don't dance. So few songs that actually compel me to dance these days, none sounded thank God, because everyone would have laughed at me. This is an instance when I think that drinking would have probably made it more fun.

I did nothing new years except sleep in (16 hours total yesterday, including copious naps). "The weather is too bad for traveling" mom says when I asked her about going to a friend's house.

I look outside to clear blue skies, cleared and salted roads, and light traffic.

My eyebrow hits the ceiling "Yeah, right" and I go take another nap.

Jeez... Sounds prisony... I get where you got the idea for the kele :p

The kele are subhuman animals who are enlightened by their servitude to the Dega, the true members of Humanity.
