I rest my case.

In all seriousness, I do appreciate that linear algebra isn't that complicated, but the concept of having to write lines of code to play video games strikes me less as a game and more like a job :p

I will never understand MMOs. :p

Unless you think coding and thinking are fun, in which case it's the kind of game a relentless brain-user like qoou would enjoy.

qoou has a brain. this is news. :3

Random: anyone up for Burning Man 2014?
No, but I am up for Burning Man 4014.

@Dachs, please excuse my ignorance but I'm not quite getting the reference :)

That's probably how Dachs likes it.

Burning Man, seems like pretentious twaddle ruining a very unique ecosystem to me. There are plenty of festivals you can enjoy with out that. Perhaps 10 years ago, but now? Overrated.

@Tsoate there's an ongoing, global festival of vanity, anxiety and fear, that is filled with pretentious idiots and is destroying ecosystems at a frightening rate. Its called Modern Civilization :p

Yes there's a lot of twaddle and people only going there for drugs/booze/trying to hook up. But reading some really positive stories about it as well. Anything that gets people thinking or feeling outside the box is really healthy IMO. Its what I'm being drawn to as I get older.

here.

a catalyst to the action in the first of those books is a meet - not a hookup - at a Burning Man gathering that took place in Antarctica at some point in the fifth millennium

the image is an artist's rendering of something that happens later in the book, when an android from Europa encounters Zeus, King of All the Gods and Lord of the Universe
That's probably how Dachs likes it.
yes clearly my goal in communicating is to be incomprehensible

what do you take me for, a political scientist?

You missed my point about it being both a unique and fragile ecosystem. There are lots of festivals you can prance about and pretend to care about things in order to catch herpes off the girl with dreads, but I really must implore you to overlook burning man. What festivals have you been to?

No, a sociologist!

Sociologists are perfectly comprehensible. When they are not drugged and/or drinking. You have to catch them at the right time, usually when they are in recovery or writing a paper.

So Tsoate is Toteone right? :p
