I took samples from two essays I wrote - the two I'm probably most proud of.
You know, that does make me want to see what my two bestest essays ever get...
Alright, the first one is a ten page one from a couple years ago was a paper using the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum physics and Campbell's Hero's Journey as the basis to analyzing a character from the anime Clannad. Yes, it's as hilariously humanities as it sounds, but I immensely enjoyed it and so did the humanities school at my uni. Anyhow I threw that one in and got Arthur Clarke, no idea why; probably because of the few occasional references to quantum physics, maybe.
The second one was a twenty-nine page research paper, my pride and joy, concerning the remnants of Manichean influence on early modern and present-day Chinese society and culture, particularly in regards to triads, cults and other unorthodox religions/groups. That one turned up HP Lovecraft. I guess maybe because Manicheans are weird.
I don't think this thing is really designed for academic papers.
I get that impression too... especially since the writers it spouts out are, well, mostly fiction writers from what I can see.
