China has a bigger GNP per Capita today, its economy is growing faster and its population is growing at a slower pace. My vote is on China.

Alright, barring any merging of the two nations together, I believe China will be greater in terms of GNP. If you look at their surplus, it is already evident they are a superpower and an economic powerhouse.

India, with their current bureaucracy, simply does not have enough to become a superpower. China has way more natural resources, and the skills to take them.

India is still quite poor.
