That's right, Clinton is going off on her psychobabble about the "vast right-wing conspiracy."

WASHINGTON (AP) - Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton on Tuesday described past Republican political malfeasance in New Hampshire as evidence of a "vast, right-wing conspiracy." Clinton's barbed comments revived a term she coined for the partisan plotting during her husband's presidential tenure and echoed remarks she made last weekend in New Hampshire, which holds the nation's first primary.

Her rhetorical red meat to a sympathetic audience of Democratic municipal officials comes as Clinton courts New Hampshire voters and squeezes donors for dollars ahead of a March 31 fundraising report deadline. She also continues to face criticism from the party's liberal base for her failure to repudiate her vote authorizing military force in Iraq.

Clinton asserted on Tuesday that the conspiracy is alive and well, and cited as proof the Election Day 2002 case of phone jamming in New Hampshire, a case in which two Republican operatives pleaded guilty to criminal charges, and a third was convicted.

"To the New Hampshire Democratic Party's credit, they sued and the trail led all the way to the Republican National Committee," Clinton said.

"So if anybody tells you there is no vast, right-wing conspiracy, tell them that New Hampshire has proven it in court," she said.

So is there really a "vast right-wing conspiracy" or is it just time that Clinton was put out to pasture on the funny farm?

Phone jamming is just the Republican version of a fraternity prank. It's how all the kool kidz spend their election day.

Well, since New Hampshire voted Kerry in 2004 and the Democrats took both houses in 2006...

It's clearly the most incompetent conspiracy ever, so Senator Clinton should just let it continue; it's working to her benefit.

Of course there's no vast conspiracy.

Unless it's the media conspiracy that chooses which candidates win anyway; in that case, Senator Clinton's gripe is with the vast media conspiracy pushing for Senator Obama.

Well let's see:

Valerie Plame
Jack Abramoff
Mark Foley coverup
Defending KBR's pricegouging
Tom DeLay money laundering
New Hampshire phone jamming
Paying pundits millions of dollars to support administration initiatives
Fake video news releases

Of course, the focus will be on how

ZOMG SENATUR KKKKLINTON IS SUCH A KOOK!

rather than

ZOMG NEARLY EVERY SENIOR ADMINISTRATION OFFICIAL IN THE BUSH WHITE HOUSE HAS COMMITTED A FELONY AND THEN LAUGHED IT OFF ON FOX NEWS

The phone jamming was in 2002 in which GOP candidate John Sununu won a narrow victory. Not really a conspiracy unless you count all the calls going between the White House and some of the felons . . .
httphttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2002_New_Hampshire_Senate_election_phone_jamming_scandal://

A Democratic analysis of phone records introduced at Tobin's criminal trial show he made 115 outgoing calls to the White House between September 17 and November 22, 2002. Two dozen of the calls were made from 9:28 a.m. the day before the election through 2:17 a.m. the night after the voting, a three-day period during which the phone jamming operation was finalized, carried out, and then abruptly shut down.

Virtually all the calls to the White House went to the same number, which currently rings inside the political affairs office. In 2002, that office was headed by Ken Mehlman, now the chair of the Republican National Committee. The White House has declined to say which staffer was assigned that phone number in 2002.
EDIT: To be fair, if the calls were made to Ken Melhman, maybe it was some kind of lovers quarrel or erotic conversation.

Yep, and Alberto Gonzales is now a felon, having repeatedly lied to a Congressional committee about the circumstances which preceded a politically motivated firing of US Attorneys for (ethically!) refusing to discuss sealed indictments with wealthy Republican donors.

But that's not a right wing conspiracy. Remember, if Hillary Clinton sez it, TIS AUTOMAGICALLY WRONG!

I'm familiar with the event, but what happened in New Hampshire in 2002 is slightly less relevant than what happened in 2004 and 2006 if one wishes to make a political point in 2008.

If you are giving a speech that happened in New hampshire, an event that happened in New hampshire is more relevant than one that happend Texas or california or Virginia - unless you want to be Howard Deanesque - "they conspired in New Hampshire, Texas, California, Virginia, yeowww."

quoted for mega-truth. If I was Bill Richardson, I'd be super mad

Yes, but when your party is 2 for 2 in the last two elections, claiming something from 3 elections ago as proof that the deck is stacked against you is silly.

And my question is where VRWC Agent?
Back today! I've been busy dealing with.... oops, almost gave away my mission! ... lately, but it's all taken care of now. Everyone just ignore Clinton's ramblings and move along, nothing to see here. ;)

You know you sound like a complete and total jackass when you talk like that.

I genuinely can't believe people take you seriously.

Regardless of Poniuth's impassioned Interspeak rants, I don't see anyone addressing the substance of his posts. Whoever says there is none get the Mark of Shame for lack of creativity.

Darn that hilary Clinton where would she be without Bill. I would rather have a rebublican than her.

So that's what your name really means? :crazyeye:

And I genuinly can't belive that you can't see the humour. He was obviously using humour to point something out, and perhaps to demonstrate that the average person isn't that bright. Perhaps there might also have been a slight parody of moral panic.

I have pulled the wool over their eyes with voodoo liberalism SHHHHHhh u will give it all awayz!

EDIT: "complete and total" jackass is a rather prefabricated phrase.

My point does stand, though.

It's the VRWC.

But Clinton made a remark referring to an actual court case involving an actual Republican who was actually convicted.

One court case, one conviction, not so bad.

Being able to pick from any of 10-15 scandals that point towards Republicans abusing power to smear opponents, screw up elections, get filthy rich and commit assorted felonies?

That's not so cool.
