Well, America has some government intervention here and there, but arguably in the wrong places, and without government to dampen the downsides of its own programs. Private health providers - obviously - have taken their advantage from it.

If only people turned the energy they waste on partisan arsegravy towards outrage to lobbists and corruption.

But that would smell of criticism towards capitalism. Those lobbyists worked hard to earn their influence on politics.

edit: By the way, to link with my earlier criticism of this thread, I would have understood outrage at the topic of the thread. Outrage fits. Outrage would have gotten my support, because that is an emotion that is fitting and which I'd understand. With outrage I wouldn't have peeped as much as I have been peeping.

You're having it at the expense of Americans who could get into trouble. Which is why I'd find outrage a more understandable emotion.

Mind you, I am not saying you have to agree with me on that. I'm one of those bleeding heart liberals remember. I have different priorities.

edit: You know the thing about "I told you so"'s? There isn't the counterweight of "I didn't tell you so". You never hear people when they were wrong. For me an I told you so is meaningless. Could be one hit in many.

I'd point out that many of the more unpopular policies in the ACA started off as ideas from the Heritage Foundation (most notably the individual mandate) but after 14 pages I sincerely doubt I'm the first person to say that to you
