You are king of a small sized island, what weapon systems do you use to defend it?

Well, I guess this topic needs a serious answer.
Since I didnt get a reply on cost, or who you are supposed to defend against, lets assume a far more powerful military power.
I wouldnt go large surface ships for naval, but would rather go submarines. Probably ultra-quiet diesel ones of the Nord variety, outfitted to strike at maximum distance for maximum damage against a carrier/invasion group.
On the island itself, I would long use range radar stations at the out points and guard them with Phalanx AA guns to guard against Anti-rad missiles that would home in on the radar signal. Slightly behing those I would place a ring of long range AA missile batterys. Interior to the island I would begin construction of a concentric defense grid connected by underground tunnels as much as possible (with said tunnels rigged to blow/collapse if I need them to), to set up a defense grid ala the Japanese Island defense or the Soviet defense of Moscow in WWII. I would have layers of artillery bore sighted and emplaced in hidden bunkers in the rings as well as anti-infantry pillboxes constructed to take advantage of created kill zones in approach.
I wouldnt buy any planes for the sole reason there really isnt enough room for an airstrip and since your're small your not going to ever be more than a irritant to an determined enemy with a large airforce. In that aspect, any planes you bought, even if they were the best available, would simply be a waste.
The point of this defense is to make it hurt the enemy as much as possible if he truly wants to take you out. And they will if they are that determined....your just not big enough to really win against a foe with a large military. But you might just make it painful enough to sue for peace once they experience a huge amount of casualties and they still are only a few hundred yards into the island. And with terrian like that you can absolutely make them pay for every square inch, because the only way they can do it is on foot. They will have air superiority, but thats why your defense grid has underground paths to travel by. You fight the outer ring until it is compromised, fall back underground, blow the tunnel and wash, rinse, repeat until you run out of ammo.

If i were king of the Island, I would prefer to be exiled by the invading army. I want out of that place and quickly.

Earthquake bombs used as far back as late ww2 were great at collapsing underground constructions. The german sub yard in France was gutted by a single earthquake bomb it left the structure intact but the intense waves wrecked and gutted the internal yards so badly that it put it out of use for the war. Needless to say 100% internal casualties.
EDIT: Entrenched Sams idea is nice idea though moving your surface fleet out leaves it outside the defence umbrella leaving them vunreable to airpower. Once your surface fleet is gone and you enter siege invaders can simply let you wither on the vine.

I must say this is one of the bst OT threads in a long time.

It might be hard to buy nuclear weapons without anybody finding out and if they find out they might decide to wipe you out before your terror cells are ready.
yes i suppose, well i can always use different weapons. like chemical or biological. pr maybe i could develop a disease that would spread rapidly throughout the population.

There's still the problem that the terror cells are only a deterrent if you let foreign governments know they exist, but if you let them know they exist they might hunt for the terror cells and destroy them.
