But ... but... Did and past tense? Isn't this wrong? I usually ignore grammar in everything I do, but in this instance, I happen to recall it and I really thought did and past tense is a big no no. Otherwise I woud have used "used" without hesitation.

When saying the phrase "used to," most English speakers tend to drop the "d" from their pronunciation.

Ah the feeling of authenticity.

BTW, did the rule regarding name changes stop requiring people to post their former name in their sig for a month? I've been seeing people mention recent changes, but nothing in the sig about it.

When I changed my name the requirement was still in action. I just disappeared for a month and so nobody read the sig announcing the change.
