We had many threads concerning Israel, Palestine, Lebanon and the situation in the Middle East recently, in which the discussion often got very heated.

I'd like to know on which side of the barricade you stand. Also, I want to prove/disprove that US Americans are generally more pro-Israeli than EU Europeans. Answer thze question according to your feelings and convictions. I won't force you to choose between Israel and some of its neighbours, I just want to know, if you sympathize with Israeli cause, or not.

Interesting article, it shows that Europeans are more pro-Israeli, than they used to be, but still far behind the US.

I sympathise with Israel, I also happen to be an Australian

I am not asking you to take sides, this thread is only about Israel.

Kinda fooled me there

I am with Perfection. This issue is much too complex and no one should take sides. What needs to happen is consideration for each other.

If you're asking me make a stand then as an American taxpayer I want my considerable tax dollars shut off to Israel. Immediately.

I do sympathize with Israel's interest to exist and defend itself but that doesn't mean I support every single action it takes. In fact I believe sometimes being against their actions might be the best way to sympathize with it's cause because quite often it seems Israel doesn't know what it is really doing and causing.

And Perfection is right and that's why I chose the radioactive monkey option because this is terrible way of showing ignorance to difference of opinions and only divide people between pro- and anti-israel.

I rather sit on the fence.

Australian, and I support Israel to a very large degree.

I sympathize with almost everyone but I sympathize more with the Palestinians.

Truly I wish we never would have created Israel in the first place. Carving out a nation where other people already live is never an intelligent move (if your goal is peace).

Then you should vote for the second option.

Bright day
I sympatize with both. So I am of course apaled by senseless slaughter and macho show-offs. I certainly don't want Israel wiped from map (nor gone from pages of history:rolleyes:), at least while one of my friends is studying there:rolleyes:. though I think UN resolution should be more general and apply to more countries than just Israel.

(I hope everybody understands how to vote now :) )

We shouldn't forget that before there was a Israeli state created and before that the Giant Radio Active Monkeys (GRAM) were in a long hard fought civil war with the GDRs. Then the Arabs came in and took them over. I say DEATH TO THE MUSLIMS, DEATH TO THE JEWS LONG LIVE THE GRAM AND THE GDR

/Both sides, more so on the Israel side because they are better at getting there own trouble starts under control

Jews will get new bombings and they deserve it.

Winner, what's the point of painting this as a black/white issue when the truth comes in shades of grey?

You can't make any progress when you talk in shades of grey. Inevitably, you have to decide what is more important, make it clear what are your priorities.

This thread, as you can see, doesn't force anybody to participate or, more importantly, to choose sides. It just asks people if they generally sympathize with Israel or not. The scale of grey is included in both options.
