Main source now, or overall? (What I learned at school/university surely still significantly outweighs what I learned elsewhere - but it's not my source anymore).

What about books you read at school?

Wisdom is different to knowledge. Ergo, I abstain from the poll.

My mom, brother and dad mostly....other..books actually.

The greatest part of my wisdom seems to come from within; it just so happens that I'm very unwise. Go figure.

reading books.

but it will be computer games that got me interested in the book or particular topics and then i will start reading on them.

Option #6. Thinking for myself instead of letting others do it for me.

I've read a ridiculous number of books. And I mean stupidly large.

So naturally I'm very intelligent. ;)

I read 'The Republic' as light reading prior to my exam period in secondary school, it has nothing to do with any of my subjects, and I don't quite understand why the school library has it, I am and still am to this date the only person to have taken it out [I check, my youngest brother still attends].

Now, apart from it being defunct, you can pick up a lot of information if you've read that many books. Its just a pity that none of the books I read have much direct corrolation to me studies. And I must say, that I know a lot more about what I've read, than I do about what I 'study'.

But then, I'm also teaching myself some programming/scripting languages from books etc :D

That's a terrible source of knowledge, though, because "others" have accumulated untold billions of man-hours of observations that you cannot hope to match.
There's something to be said for both. In the end it's more important to be better at A (thinking for yourself) than B (following what other people say is right). Keeping in mind that (especially in philosophy) much of conventional accumulated knowledge/wisdom is contradictory.

I agree. The "at least listen to" part anyway. Whether to accept or not is part of wisdom.
