YOU'RE FIRED!

You realize it's gross racism to hide behind someone's words based purely on the color of that person's skin, right?
No that sounds pretty crazy.
1) no one is hiding
2) no one is arguing based purely on the skin color; sorry to say but if you think so you may be closet racist yourself.

No, it's racist to post a video of someone because of the color of their skin. It's using the person's color as cover, to try to make it more difficult for others to attack the point of view. The post basically said, "Hey look at this black guy's opinion, you HAVE to listen to this!" Why not just post the argument in your own words? Why post the video instead?

There is a difference between black skin color and black culture and I know you know the difference. Just try to remember that before you start running around calling others racist.
Btw you can just attack the points in the video without fear being called racist at least from the more sane part of the debaters here - from those who dont let ideology to get in the way of their mental sanity...
And of course since the issue turns around the black comunity its pretty rational to hear what the blacks have to say. To do otherwise seems to me ignorant and disrespectful.

You didn't post a video which told us what "blacks" have to say. You posted a YouTube giving the opinion of one person. Try providing a legitimate opinion poll or something if you want your sources to be taken seriously.

the media does that all the time... they put on black commentators who agree with them

I note that Alejandro Villanueva (the US Army vet who stood for the National Anthem when all of his teammates stayed in the locker room) has publicly apologized to his coach and teammates for "throwing them under the bus, unintentionally."

Yeah, his apology reeks of him being pressured to do so by the Steelers organization.

he had nothing to apologize for.

Agreed. One should never have to apologize for following the rules.

Help me out. Here's a link to the rules. http://operations.nfl.com/the-rules/2017-nfl-rulebook/#pdf-download
Exactly which rule are you referring to? I can't find it.

Sorry, I was wrong to say it was in the rulebook. It is in the NFL Game Operations Manual page 62 and 63.

So stand for the National Anthem, then take a knee and give a fist ?
That would technically allow them to fullfill the contract and protest at the same time

Fans would still be displeased with that conduct, but yes that course of action would allow the players to continue their protest while still being in compliance with NFL rules.

That person happen to be also of a black backround. If you ask for anything more then I am afraid there is no such thing as common platform for all the black just like there is no single ideological platform for any other culture group; to think otherwise is disrecpectful to the said culture to say the least...

LOL you could find an opinion poll where they asked more than one person and then we could discuss the results. I suggested that in my previous reply.
The ramblings of some random dude who happens to agree with you aren't proof or evidence of anything.

Lol you know you are also just a random dude rumbling. I guess your opinion doesnt matter.

Indeed I would not take my opinions as representative of those who share my demographic traits.

Tell me do you consider yourself representative in any way or are you just all around special?

It's not mechanical's fault that disagreeing with black people makes you uncomfortable.

No idea what the purpose of that question is other than to be argumentative.
You have spend lot of posts trying to apriori disaprove opinions of the man in the video instead of actually discussing what the man has to say. I am glad you dont like to be argumentative anymore...

I never referenced the content of the video once. What I, and Metalhead, were trying to explain to you is that just because one black person holds a certain POV that does not mean you can extrapolate it to the entire black community.

Then you have been all along preaching to the choir since I have never made such a claim.

you might be surprised at the poll, I was when I saw only %44 of blacks wanted to remove the statue of Lee in Virginia

60% of America are displeased with Trump
I think it would be annoying to bring in politics into sports arena but then again its seems to be also a powerful platform to send a political message. All this is like a storm in a teacup given all the problems that need to be fixed in America
