2008 NBA Playoffs

Lakers and Celtics in the finals. Looks like I'll be going green the next two weeks. Nothing against the Lakers (outside of the fact that they eliminated the Spurs), but it'd be nice to see KG get a title. :)

I really don't dare who wins this, I am just glad that SA is no longer in the playoffs. I absoutely hate them.

Being a Suns fan hurts, doesn't it? ;)

My feelings too, except for that whole "nothing against the Lakers" part.

Celtics take game 4 :)

Thank you David Stern, couldn't you wait till it was 2-2 before you started calling it straight?

Not blaming tonite on the refs-they clearly blow the game, but the refs gave Boston game 1 & 2 and LA game 3. but with all the cheating talk on TV and radio they are going to call it straight now--robbing LA of their second "freebie" game like Boston got.

The Lakers got their freebie title in 2002. No rings for them this year. :nono:

I think I'll just pretend that none of the Lakers championships with Phil Jackson count, since he liked to pretend the Spurs championship in '99 did not count. What goes around comes around!

How did the refs give Boston game 1? And really...how did they give them game 2? Sure the FT disparity was insane, but so was the Lakers lack of aggressiveness. If you let Leon Powe powerdrive right through your defense, you really don't deserve to cry about not getting any fouls their way. The Lakers have no toughness, no grittiness to speak of.

Hell, I think the Lakers could have put this game away easy in the 3rd if ANYONE besides Kobe had decided to play aggressive and apply the pressure. Odom had 1 FG after halftime, Gasol was pathetic, Vujacic got his ankles broken by Ray Allen, it was all around a pretty pathetic effort.

Look like it's going to be Celtics after all.

Generaly they are better, no doubt about it. But I also smell D.Stern and guys from shadows involved like many times before in the whole play off season, but that's a life (and I'm affraid it's going to be worst in future regarding this issue).

I cann't like any team that Kobe play for (not even if two serbian players play for team - miniature roles tho) and I always disliked Celtics. So don't care too much. However I did enjoy all games in finals so far:goodjob:

In west generaly I'm for San Antonio and east for Cleavlend and Toronto, but I switch, if neccessery, depending on what players are in one team.

Hmmm tickets have become available at not-ridiculous prices (like under $500) for tonight. Right on Laker "fans!"

UGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH doesn't expression my anger, i've been waiting for this my whole life, and all I've got is teams that go out the first round, but we're finally in a position to take home the gold and the big ticket misses two free throws, and then what Paul Pierce can't hold onto the ball. After coming back from a 19 point deficit and being able to end it there they do what they have done all play offs and just not played those last few minutes when they really needed to.

This is...wow...

113-77 Celtics right now.

 Man did the Celts stomp the Lakers into snot tonight!

Congrats to Celts but I feel David Stern is going to steal their moment.

Stats for games 4,5 & 6 AFTER the media assault about game #2 and Donaghys game fixing after game # 3

Game 4
Lakers 29 FT...23 Fouls
Celtics 28 FT..24 Fouls

Game 5
Lakers 31 FT..28 Fouls
Celtics 31 FT..28 Fouls

Game 6
Lakers 38 FT..25 Fouls
Celtics 37 FT..25 Fouls

Completely the same all 3 games, after home teams ruled all playoffs long, all of sudden when everyone is looking closely it is totally even. To me that means they were fix'n it for home teams and stopped or started fix'n it so it was equal--either way

And by fix'n I don't mean "Oh we want the Celtics to win it all or LA, Detroit,ect...." but giving teams a game at home here and there, making longer series, making more $$$$

On Thursday the FBI released its preliminarily report--everything Donaghy had told them that they had checkout was correct. Stern is in trouble.
