Other than panic, why not? The current counting looks like they are tracking towards winning the house before west coast polls close, and they're picking up five more seats on the west coast if they need them. They're picking up more than they targeted in Texas riding O'rorke's coat tails even if he doesn't win.

Only if she becomes Speaker, which is not a foregone conclusion. A lot of Dems being elected as new pickups are openly stating that they would not vote for Pelosi as Speaker.

She also needs to go away from leadership. I like her but she's also a lightening rod. We need a fresh start.

She's a lightning rod because she's a Democratic political leader, not because of her actual policies or decisions. If not her, it would be somebody else - maybe Schiff, whose name has been bandied about by People Who Know Things.

Hillary has more or less vanished from the political sphere for the last two years, even if Trump dumpsterfire of an administration would vindicate Clinton she has way to much baggage to consider another run

At the time of this typing, he's up with 72% of the vote in.

Early vote always dumps at once and there was a big early vote push for Beto. We saw this in Florida in 2016. It's kind of weird, seeing a county with 0% and 50,000 votes cast. It just means early voting with 0% of the live voting.
