2020 Election Thread!!!!!!!!!

I dunno, I thought that's what it was but I kept thinking Fene? Fee-knee? Wth? Am I really this stupid?

:lol::lol::lol:

Anyway, yes, I agree that calling Hillary a hater given who she was running against is supremely ironic. But then we all are familiar with J's tendency to insist that up is down and down is up.

Yeah there is no cool equivalent word to Ferrous-Oxide for Neon, because... noble gas. But the "ironNE" I was referencing was how ironic it is for someone who has been CFC's epic Hillary-hater all cycle to say:
Hillary Clinton is an epic hater and should be so recognized.
and fail to recognize the irony.

You'll only waste your iron-neon J.

Thanks Lex for restoring my confidence in the simple humor. I almost posted a drawn out explanation which of course ruins the joke.
Irony would be #26 (Iron) and #70 (Yttrium).

Hillary is a star in the Hater category. She supposedly runs on a tolerance platform but could hate a whole basket of people. I have trouble working up that kind of bile. Even for her, it is hard to make an exception.

Anyway, yes, I agree that calling Hillary a hater given who she was running against is supremely ironic. But then we all are familiar with J's tendency to insist that up is down and down is up.
Still stuck on that? No wonder I didn't get it. Trump pales in comparison.

You'll only waste your iron-neon J.
That was more clever. There is a nice cadence.

It's a line of perfect iambic pentameter.

Maybe I'll write a sonnet.

Comey is the one in the no win situation.
I beginning to think that all along Comey decided that neither Hillary nor Trump was worthy of POTUS and decided to make it his mission to single handedly destroy them both... and if I'm right he's already won.

So assuming that I am right and Comey's plan all along was to get rid of Hillary and then Trump... is Comey an American hero or a villain? Also, I'd especially like to know the answer to this in your (J's) opinion.

Hero of villain? ... again, operating under the assumptions I outlined.

I think you are assigning a reasoned decision where none existed. We are watching a DC bureaucrat in ass-cover mode. Comey is very good at this game. Witness that he held the Directorship with fewer qualifications than his boss.

Did you see Dershowitz on CNN? He was saying that the President has a clear right to direct the FBI start or stop an investigation. Precedent is GHW Bush and Weinberger.

The point is also well made that he did all this during the campaign. Such behavior is ratified by the election.

As I expected you would, you dodged the question, thus the last two sentences of my post... oh well...
I did answer, in the first sentence.

Comey is a bureaucrat in ass-cover mode. The changeable people above him are less important than the sharks he's had to fight to get his position. Put it this way. I think your take is slanted completely wrong. Comey did not fundamentally distinguish Trump, Clinton or even Obama. They were just The Boss or potential Boss.
