And do we need to have a talk about why this story is so believable in the first place? The GOP can only win these days by cheating and intentionally corrupting the system. The 2nd link says the budget over ride vote was on the calendar for that day. I'm not sure why the Dems were absent but looks to me like Jay was (mostly) right. I'd be mad if the Dems were told no vote would occur but thats not clear to me.

My point is that it doesn't matter. Running government by this is the very definition of bad faith. Remember they didn't do this to help people they did it to further reduce school and healthcare funding. Its as cynical as it gets.

As with all of his plans, the incredible thing about it is just how comprehensive it is. It hits everything, from addressing gentrification and the continuing effects of redlining and segregation, to tennant's rights and apartment unions, to revitalizing public housing and section 8, to rent control, to transforming the energy grid. Simply put, it, it hits everything and there wasn't anything in there I didn't like. While I like a fair bit of what Warren has to say, it must be said that checking her housing plan afterwards, I came away feeling like it was rather thin by comparison.
