Even if this was the case the deception used to pull this vote off is beyond the pale. WTH is wrong with you.
“If I see an opportunity to override this budget this veto, I was going to take that vote,” Moore said. “I checked when we came in. Of course, we saw that we had the numbers to do that.”
Minority Leader Darren Jackson said he believed House Rules Committee Chairman David Lewis told him any recorded votes Wednesday would be delayed until the afternoon. Lewis said that wasn’t accurate. He said Moore had the authority to decide.
And do we need to have a talk about why this story is so believable in the first place? The GOP can only win these days by cheating and intentionally corrupting the system. "Playing the game" I've read it called before. Its despicable, you're despicable for constantly defending it, and it will catch up with you guys.
Moore told her that he “did not advise that there would be no votes this morning.” Moore’s office provided audio from Tuesday’s floor session from House Rules Committee Chairman David Lewis saying recorded votes would occur Wednesday, specifically identifying two different spending measures.
Cooper accused Republicans of pulling “their most deceptive stunt yet” at a time of day when many North Carolinians were focused on honoring those killed in the 9/11 attacks. Only one House Democrat has said he was attending a memorial service at the time of the session, however.
The 2nd link says the budget over ride vote was on the calendar for that day. I'm not sure why the Dems were absent but looks to me like Jay was (mostly) right. I'd be mad if the Dems were told no vote would occur but thats not clear to me.
Amazon has paid $0 in taxes for the last two years.
Bezos himself has paid taxes:

He doesn't operate on or care about good faith Estebonrober, he only cares about getting wins, even if that means making other peoples lives worse off.

The Trump administration is expected on Wednesday to formally revoke California’s authority to set auto emissions rules that are stricter than federal standards
As with all of his plans, the incredible thing about it is just how comprehensive it is. It hits everything, from addressing gentrification and the continuing effects of redlining and segregation, to tennant's rights and apartment unions, to revitalizing public housing and section 8, to rent control, to transforming the energy grid. Simply put, it, it hits everything and there wasn't anything in there I didn't like. While I like a fair bit of what Warren has to say, it must be said that checking her housing plan afterwards, I came away feeling like it was rather thin by comparison.
