BlackArchon,

Thanks for the Text Bug Catch

Fixed and should be good next version

Patch 8.34:

Playing as the Fey, I produced a Troll. He has the following upgrades: Combat I, Mithril Weapons (+10% vs. Iron Weapons), Summer Faerie (-20% vs. Iron Weapons along with other effects) and Blue Faerie.

So he must have -10% vs. Iron Weapons. But look at the screenshot, it says '+10% vs. Iron Weapons'. Why is this?

Edit: I am able to confirm this. 'Eternal Faerie' also doesn't give the -20% vs. Iron Weapons malus.

Patch 8.34:

Sorah is missing a text as well, please look at the tool tip, it says 'Unit can use the TXT_KEY_SPELL_THE_JOINING ability'.

Patch 8.34:

Sorah is missing a text as well, please look at the tool tip, it says 'Unit can use the TXT_KEY_SPELL_THE_JOINING ability'.

1) The Joining Ability is fixed in 9.0 Beta

2) Working on the Sorah tag and strategy tag, should be fixed next release

thanks, BlackArchon

Sorah needs a unit art define for the Sevopedia entry, right now its defaulted as a standard archer. Tesb, if your around, can you help with this?

If someone could find a bit of lore, or who would like to write an entry for the civlopedia that would be great. Post either one for me, and I will write one or upload as the case maybe. I will create a strategy tag from this as well.

Thanks again BlackArchon for reporting.

While translating WildMana into German, i have found a lot of redundant entries in the xml files, but also a lot of tags, which are filled out but don`t appear ingame due to missing links.

A sample for redundancy would be "TXT_KEY_BUILDING_TREE_OF_LIFE", which is defined 3 times, 2 times in "CIV4WildmanaTranslation2" and once more in "CIV4ArcaneMastery".

A sample for missing links would be "TXT_KEY_BUILDING_MINSTER", which is defined in "CivWildmanaTranslation1.xml", but not linked in "FFHPLUS_CIV4BuildingInfos.xml", stating only: "<Description>Minster</Description>".
The Scions are even missing a lot of in fact written HELP and STRATEGY- texts in the Civilopedia.

There are lot more of these errors. Would you be interested in a list or should i correct these errors myself and share the modified xmls? Or should i wait for WM 9.0?

@tearwiz
i would do both a list of changes in other files then the txt xml and fix them and upload once you are done :)

i doubt that wildmana 9.0 will change much in the translation department, although there will be a lot more untranslated stuff coming :)

Sephi and the team are aware of the redundancy in files, which were primarly caused by the fast infusion of new civs in WM and the growth of other mechanics/ideas. Sephi has a method of merging/joining these redundancies, though I am not sure how this exactly works in particular. he also has a method for translation as well.

My thoughts are to translate the more important files if you want to, and wait for his instructions on how he would like to proceed. I would hate to see you do double work if its not necessary. He most likely will want you to work in specific file areas on translation, which will be the areas that redundancy has been dealt with already.

All right, then. I will continue my translation, which is making good progress, and wait for Sephi to explain how i can help him to merge it into the mod.

Patch 8.34:

Playing as Nojah the Illusionist, my adepts start with the promotion 'Illusion' instead of 'Illusionist'. I'm not exactly sure about this, is it intended or a bug?

does he have that same behaviour Courtesans have that give him the base strength of the last unit he killed if it had higher strength than him? that looks like it. did you recently kill a reveler for example?

I killed a Lich with 7 strength before. So he gets the strength of units he kills? Quite interesting... maybe he should get a short Civilopedia entry where this is explained, if it isn't a bug.

agreed, if it's not mentioned than that's something missing in the documentation. you had probably killed a chariot when he went to 5/4 before I guess ;)

Ok, I upgraded my Nojah to a mage and now he has his correct strength values. So upgrading a unit resets this effect obviously. Is this the wanted behaviour?
