So EQ, when can we expect ABNW 2.2 to be up, or any NESes you may be doing in the mean time? And is there anything else we can do to help speed up the process?

Damn it, I cant find my notes on Italian government. Well guess I have to redo it.

Why, yes, there are several ways that those who wish to help can help with the setting up of 2.2.

I am in process of updating the map, and the borders are done for Africa and the Americas. I will be putting cities of significance on eventually, but at the moment, only capitals are presented.

As for what can be done, I'd appreciate assistance in creating the NPC political parties. At the moment only seventeen of 96 total nations have provided political parties. While it is not nessecary for ALL nations to provide them, we have 54 different Constitutional Monarchies and Republics total at least which need them. Dictatorships and the like are not as prone to the political parties being significant so they are a lower priority. Here is a quick list of nations which need political parties. If you are familar with the language of one of these countries, your support would be appreciated, as I like having names within their own languages for the political movements. If you choose to assist, my requests are that you keep it in line with the character of the nation as done within the updates and that you post in a similar manner to what we've already seen (NOT including government structures). Here be the list:

Alabama
Appalachia
Fox Republic
Chicago
Inuit Nannut
Iroquois
Isanti Republic
Lakota Sioux
Mississippi
Pennsylvania
Quebec
Argentine Republic
Belize
Bolivia
Caribbean Federation
El Salvador
Paraguay
Bohemia
Crimea
England
Estonia
Finland
Iceland
Irish Republic
Norway
Poland
Serbia
Jordan
Kurdistan
Liberia
Mali
Palestine
South Africa
Syria
Togo
Tunisia
Yemen
Baluchestan
Bugis Republic
New Holland
Kyushu

Another element which would be of GREAT assistance is to find out who actually has what designs. My notes are jumbled on this account, and it will take some time to work things out. If you possess a design, it would be of great help to post EVERYONE who should have that design. The fun part about helping me with this is that if you miss someone it'll be YOUR fault.

Italian political Parties:

Socialist: Partito Democratico Socialista
Liberal: Federazione Liberale Nazionale
Conservative: Repubblicani Leali

I've kept your notes all this time, and those are the three political parties you've had sicne the very beginning.

Regarding England's possible Political Parties -

Communist - Outlawed
Socialist - Labour Party (Maybe)
Liberal-Moderate - The Liberal Democrats or 'Whigs'
Conservative - Conservatives or 'Tories'
Lisist - I would guess illegal, but we had the National Front around this time, which were facists.
Reactionry - British National Party

I guess Tyrion can change these if he wishes.

I can think of a handful of local political parties here in AL and in Tennessee, which should do for Appalachia. Would those be relevant for political parties in this NES?

Pennsylvanian Government

Legislative Branch: Being a smaller country, Pennsylvania’s legislative branch is unicameral, consisting of the National Congress of Pennsylvania. The Congress is made up of 100 men, elected in four-year terms. The Socialist Party has had a firm hold over Congress for several years.

Executive Branch: Pennsylvania is led by a President, elected every four years. There is currently no limit on the terms a President can serve. The current president is a firm socialist.

Socialist Party: As of now, the strongest party in Pennsylvania, holding control of the presidency and Congress. After taking office in the aftermath of the Pennsylvanian civil war, the Socialists gained much support among the middle and lower classes for their social welfare and other new policies.

Conservative Party: The most popular conservative party in Pennsylvania, the Conservatives are one of the stronger parties in the nation’s politics. However, after the civil war, the Conservative Party lost much of their credibility. However, they are slowly regaining support, and are heavily opposed to Socialist policy.

Liberal Party: The Liberal Party, despite never winning a majority in the Congress during their history, is one of the stronger parties. Both before and after the civil war they have played second hand to the more powerful Conservatives and Socialists, although several times in Pennsylvania’s history they have been key to tipping the balance of power between the two.

Moderate Party: The Moderate Party is more of a coalition of Conservatives and Liberals, then an actual political party. Several times the Conservatives and Liberals have banded together under the Moderate party to fight Socialist reform.

Nationalist Party: Calling for greater expansion and power for Pennsylvania, the Nationalist Party has only recently been gaining significance in Pennsylvanian politics. This is credited to their heavy voicing of support towards punishing the upstart New Jerseyians for their aggressive behavior.

Pacifist Party: A descendent of old Quaker beliefs, the Pacifist Party calls for the shrinking of Pennsylvania’s military and its isolation when it comes to military affairs. They usually only gain prominence during times of warfare, when small numbers of people rally around them on an anti-war platform.

Communist Party: Because of Pennsylvania’s strong history of socialism, the communist party has not been made illegal as in other countries. They are mostly a small branch of the Socialist Party calling for the overthrow of the government and the establishment of a communist regime.

Listist Party: Estimated to have no more than 30 members at its height, the Listist Party is rather non-existent in Pennsylvanian politics. Those few who even know of their existence laugh whenever their name is mentioned in a serious tone.

I can think of a handful of local political parties here in AL and in Tennessee, which should do for Appalachia. Would those be relevant for political parties in this NES?

WARNING: I got a lot of these parties off of Wikipedia, and many likely were made well before the timeframe of this NES. Thus the cost of reckless realism. But some I purely made up. Also, no names are translated.

The only ones I can comment on is Palestine, Syria, and Kyushu. For Palestine why are they for the liberation of Palestine? Liberation from capitalism? Is Third Way the Christian-Jewish coalition? For Syria where is the Christian party? And finally for Kyushu the reactionary party should be pro-Korean unification, not Japan. Kyushu was colonized by Korea and most people who live there are Koreans.

On Palestine, I assume that they are referring to liberation from Capitalism. It makes some sort of sense, but for safety's sake, I'll append "Workers" to both parties. And Third Way is a common term for moderate or centrist positions.

On Syria, I'll create the Coalition for Christian Democracy. Will edit post.

On the Kyushan reactionary party, wasn't Kyushu a Portuguese colony?

And then I thought Korea took it over and their big project spent like a bunch of turns on colonizing it. But the update from 1945 confuses me now.

With the Treaty of Vladivostok, the island of Kyushu was to be turned over to Japanese control, but that was to be. The island has been in a state of persistent rebellion ever since it was seized from the Korean Empire by Portugal during the Korean phase of the Chinese Civil War. Viewing the Japanese government in Tokyo with disdain, particularly with the recognition of Korean ownership of property and immigration, the Republic of Kyushu was established as soon as the Korean military withdrew. Encouraged by the Koreans, even to the extent of gaining arms and munitions, the Kyushuans have managed to repulse a small Russian and Japanese attempt to establish control over the island. The Republic of Kyushu has called for international recognition and the end of the "wars of aggression" by the Russian Federation and Empire of Japan.

Yeah, it doesn't appear that the Kyushu government is particularly Korean. So that's not to be.

Socialist Party (Socialist)
Popular Front (Socialist-Communist Combination)
Progressive Party (Liberal)
