COUP ATTEMPTED IN PERSIA. Tehran, Persia. Elements of the Persian military have attempted to secure control from the government this year, hoping to initiate an offensive to push out the Virginians. The effort was desperately fought and the Persian government temporarily lost control of the capital. A loyalist counterattack was led by more forces brought from the fronts against the various other factions within the country. The republican regime has managed to survive through another brutal year. (-7 Infantry Brigades, -6 Artillery Brigades, +2 Stability)
USURPERS CRUSHED IN ARABIA. Riyadh, Rashid Arabia. Another bid was made to secure power by a smaller faction in Rashid Arabia this year. A coupe was launched against the royal headquarters in Riyadh, but forces brought in by the Dutch managed to repulse the rebels with minimal casualties. The Rashids have since cracked down on remaining opposition disarming and removing disloyal generals and soldiers from their service. (-1 Infantry Brigade, +6 Stability)
PASHAS SEIZE POWER IN OTTOMAN EMPIRE. Ankara, Ottoman Empire. The Ottoman military has removed the sultan from power, claiming that his incompetence has led to the years of fruitless warfare. General Envar Pasha has seized power in the empire, allied with various nationalists and the military. The new government has pledged to gain successes in warfare where the sultans regime had failed. The halting of the main German drive and the rounding up of the Kommandos has put weight into these claims, as the war continues to drag on. Those loyal to the Sultan have been arrested and a cohesive new government has been established. (-2 Infantry Brigades, +3 Stability)
EGYPT IN REBELLION. Cairo, Egypt. The Egyptian people, languishing since 1909 under the control of the Empire of the Netherlands have risen up in full revolt as the Dutch withdraw troops to stabilize Arabia and fight on the front lines. Using hidden caches of weapons and supplies from abroad, the rebels have easily crushed the remote Dutch garrisons remaining in the nation. Several German forces were diverted to crush the rebellion with one swift stroke, but they were destroyed on the beaches. The Egyptian Army in exile in the Ottoman Empire has vowed to give as much support as possible, as heavy fighting continues to rage near the ruins of the Suez Canal, where a small German corps has managed to halt the Egyptian advance.
Casualty List
Empire of the Netherlands: 2 Infantry Brigades
German Empire: 5 Infantry Brigades
SUEZ WAR. Ankara, Ottoman Empire. Fighting continued to remain heavy throughout much of the Middle East as German and Ottoman forces continue to clash. The war turned very nasty this year as German commandos infiltrated behind the lines and the Ottomans faced internal instability. Thanks to these developments the Germans managed to breach the first two strong defensive lines established by the Ottomans. However, eventually the kommandos were rounded up by Ottoman military forces and the army was able to rally with the new government. The addition of longer range artillery and new weapons has further exacerbated German casualties, which have begun to mount quickly. A war at sea has begun for the first time since the fighting began, as the Ottomans deploy small submarines against German shipping. These ships have been known to lay in wait near German supply ports in Palestine, sinking a good number of freighters. The German navy responded with the deployment of ships along a large perimeter around the landing areas. Despite this effort, the submarines managed to not only continue sinking German merchant marine, but have even managed to damage a heavy cruiser to the point of collapse, though the crew successfully escaped on life boats. In exchange the Germans have only sunk three submarines, two by surface fire, and one when a destroyer accidentally rammed it.
Casualty List
Ottoman Empire: 66 Infantry Brigades, 20 Artillery Brigades, 3 Submarines
Egypt: 12 Infantry Brigades, 2 Artillery Brigades
German Empire: 96 Infantry Brigades, 28 Artillery Brigades, 1 Kommando Brigade, 4 Tank Brigades, 4 Destroyers, 1 Heavy Cruiser
Empire of the Netherlands: 3 Infantry Brigades, 2 Destroyers
Rashid Arabia: 1 Infantry Brigade, 1 Artillery Brigade
FIGHTING IN PERSIA. Tehran, Persia. Fighting has continued between the various factions within Persia as the struggle for political sovereignty continues. The Virginian government has retained its occupation of much of western Persia. The Afghani warlords have entered into conflict with the Baluchs, who have managed to bring their control to formerly Persian territory. The warlord of Hormogzan has also managed to bring more territory under his control as the Persian military seems close to defection. Rumors have arisen of a Baluch attempt for peace, and the situation in Persia seems to be nearing a climax.

SINKIANG WARLORD HOLDS POWER. Urumqi, Sinkiang. A coup attempt was made upon the leader of Sinkiang in the hopes of achieving personal power within the Chinese state. After a brutal battle, the forces of warlord Kong Bang Tai managed to hold together the capital and various military outposts. Heavy fighting has been reported from most of the regions major cities and communities, but order appears to have been restored. CATHOLICS RISING IN KOREA. Seoul, Korean Empire. To the surprise of many Europeans King Yi Cheok of Korea has converted to Catholic Christianity. Over the past two years the Korean government has been funding the establishment of Catholic schools throughout Korea and Japan. Conversions to Christianity have been pressed greatly upon the people of Korea as the idea sweeps that only Christians can be recognized as a legitimate government by the global community. In order to express the face of the New Korea, the king has taken a good will tour of Italy, stopping to visit the Pope, who has acknowledged the efforts made by the king in a historical meeting between the two. The Pope presented the king with a small token of the Vatican treasury, a small gem. The papacy has promised to continue aiding with efforts of conversion in the Asian nation. This has been met by some passive resistance and people preaching out against the pressure of the government, though as yet, no conversion have been made mandatory.
FIGHTING IN CHINA. Lanzhou, Republic of China. The brutal fighting which has typified China continued this year as the Republic of China launches twin offensives against the imperial government and the warlord of Guangxi. Both attacks were similar in that they achieved early initial successes, but as the enemy rallied, they were slowly ground to a bloody halt. The drive along the coast against Guangxi was badly bloodied from the beginning as inefficient local generalship bungled the surprise of the offensive, meeting a well prepared force. As more reinforcements arrived from Guangzhou, the attack was brought to a halt and driven back across the border. Flush with the success the Guangxi army drove back across the border into the territory formerly owned by Yunnan. The republicans managed to rally, holding back further advances. Attacks on imperial territory went much better, driving into the flat lands and overwhelming initial military forces. The imperials eventually and just barely halted the drive, holding a single port remaining on the ocean desperately against the republican advance. They now rest under constant siege and many believe the lines may be close to collapse.
Casualty List
Republican China: 77 Infantry Brigades, 17 Cavalry Brigades, 8 Artillery Brigades
Imperial China: 44 Infantry Brigades, 2 Artillery Brigades
Guangxi: 22 Infantry Brigades, 3 Cavalry Brigades, 6 Artillery Brigades

@Cynovolans: I received no confirmation of a deal with Chile.
The money that was supposed to be used for research of Medicine II in Europe has been directed to Swedish research rather than outsourced. This is mostly due to a lack of confirmation of the end goal of the plan.
A note on Radio 3: This is not commercial efficient or usable in the manner of RL WW2 radios, consider it a bare step above the radios of RL WW1.
Masada has been dropped due to inactivity.
This year I reexamined the various quality ratings across the board. This was determined through recent combat experiences, the amount of combat, and the style of combat waged. I put significant thought into these, and no matter your concerns or opinions, they will not be changing. Therefore, save any problems you may have for yourself.
@germanicus: based on conversations over AIM I acted in the nations best interests to restore stability. Now lets see if you can get the economy to recover too, thats the hard part.
