From: The Republic of Germany
To: The German People (Republican and Imperialist)
For too long the German nation has fought wars on lands far away, mostly futile wars, and ignored its own domestic issues. A monarchy, with all the power resting with the Kaiser, prevents the people from speaking out and taking the correct path for itself. A nation should ruled by its people, not by one who only has power by having a particular blood line and gold atop his head. Now is the time for change, where the people rise up to rule their own county, their own home, and emerge onto the world stage not as a people ruled, but a people ruling.
We urge the Kaiser to abdicate the thrown and allow a federal republic to grab the reins. Should he do this now, he will be allowed to live his life as a free, wealthy man who had, indeed, lead Germany through some good times. However, should he not, he will be arrested and tried for crimes against the German people, and punished appropriately. Every year the Kaiser stalls the unification, the longer it will take for Germany to rebuild. Every German that dies in this war is a blow to both sides, for we are all brothers. The sooner the Imperialists lay down their weapons, and the full unification is complete, can we finally begin improving the nation, build a stronger economy, improve the military, and make Germany the envy of Europe, nein, the world!
