A fun game of Kublai!

Almost wrote something a few updates ago, albeit it looked pretty rough, but I hoped Fippy would be proved wrong. She wasn't, but you sure made a good attempt of it. Sometimes the odds are just stacked too much against you.

Even for Deity, T250 culture win is early, right? What is more normal?

Spoiler :

I don't know really, often they are dead by then, or even more often I have moved on to a new game. :D
I do feel like it's early though... I feel I often have up until T300 to achieve some victory of my own.
I don't feel bad about it, kudos to Justinian for teaching a warbully like me some manners by being sophisticated and cultural.

That's very early. Earliest I remember seeing in recent memory is from the Charlie game, Gandhi was on track for CV at t245 because ofc he was on that absurd map.

Personally, I think there's some value in hoarding a religion or two. Note these guys got 4 and 5 religions.

@drewisfat What Charly map is that? Not anyone I recall.

And yeah, I tend to be quite nonchalant about religions, seeing that as something the AIs can trod on with if they care. Thinking that better they build monasteries than units.
But after this burn, I think I'll place abit more value in bulbing philosophy or grabbing confu early on too. (Tough on iso maps though)
It seems that it's almost always possible to get land, and with land you can win... But time is usually what you need and what you don't have.

Going from Sulla's survivor, even T300 is still early for culture sooo..
i wonder if it's the earliest AI culture win that i ever saw.

For AI survivor, Sulla removes the free deity AI starting techs, I think? So normally AIs take 25-50 turns longer to win there, because then they do dumb things like not researching agriculture for 50 turns while there's double wet corn in their capital.
