A New Dawn Bug Reports and Feedback

Man, tried a full reinstall of everything. Now BTS and ROM run fine, but I get the same error when trying to install AND (downloaded a fresh version, ran as admin as well, UAC off):

Can't read
"Previous InstallInfo(E3D13682" "No such element in array" etc.

Afforess not needed to answer these questions:

1) This is more of a need to confirm: The game launches incredibly slowly when I load in custom civilizations and leaderheads into the game, but apparently not when I don't. Does the game always take longer to load when there are more custom civs and the like? Or would it run faster if they were packed into pack files?

2) Why does the Config keep resetting the default user profile to "Default Profile" rather than my own one each time I load the game?

It slower when you have more CCs and LHs.

i just started a game with the newest beta. after taking the first ethiopian city in 1564 bc my gold went from about 200 to 115727! an earlier game report said that the ethiopians were the wealthiest, but it is impossible for them to get that much money in the stone age :0

also, the "m" key shortcut for building a mine, and "shift+p" for building a pasture don't work

I think its just a glitch in display and not actual gold. The same way there was a problem in 1.73 of units having 120423855013 XP but being only level 2. They didn't get a lot of free promos either.

You should post the bug in the Beta thread.

check your financial advisor and find out from where the money comes. it might be form a building if a iCommerce tag is set to nothing instead of 0. if it's not displayed in the advisor it's probably a display bug.

Hello guys. First of all, I would like to thank everyone involved in this mod. Thanks for this awesome job!
With proper thanks give, I'm here in hope anyone can help me with this issue. After some turns, I keep getting this glitch every game I play. Here are some screenies I took:

I'm running it on a 3.06GHz Pentium 4, with 4 Gb of RAM and a 512MB GeForce 8600. I've tried lowering resolution of the game, but it didn't worked. Other than that, the game plays flawlessly. Any help?
Thanks

well i'm afraid it may not be a display bug. i started a new game and somehow i had over 8000 gold after a while (didn't notice when it happened). this was real money, as i ran a deficit and the money never ran out.

i just reloaded the save after taking a break, and now my money has changed from 8000 something to 123491. it says that in the financial advisor too. all turn by turn income looks normal, but i have a big balance.

also, when i conquered the mayans' capitol, the map centered and zoomed out as if i had discovered astronomy, but that was in the stone age.

I got following problem: i really had it with the MAF-s so i installed win 7 64bit, but i cant load my saves from before, i always get the "failed to uncompress game data" message. It is most certanly the exactly same game as on my 32bit win7 as i installed the the game + mods on the new OS and after seeing the crash copied the old Civ4 dir + my games folder from the old os. So it is completely the same install as before, still i get this error. When i load my old OS i can still load the saves w/o problems. Does anyone have any ideas? I really-really wanna play those saves.

I would say update your video driver.

Now I actually made an account here just to ask ;)

So, currently Playing A new Dawn with the K patch.
I didn't quite found a way to confirm that.

Recently encountered a crash to Desktop when forwarding to next turn.
It's probably similar to this:
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=358695
Though with AnD.

Windows error log shows the following:

AppName: civ4beyondsword.exe AppVer: 3.1.9.0 ModName: cvgamecoredll.dll
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 00144ce0

Just tried loading that save again, but this time it crashed with
AppName: civ4beyondsword.exe AppVer: 3.1.9.0 ModName: civ4beyondsword.exe
ModVer: 3.1.9.0 Offset: 005437f7
Which I suspect is lack of memory, that sometimes happens.

I'm playing on an AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+, 1.5 Gb DDR1 memory, and a Gefore 7950GT with 512 MB video memory.

I'm playing as Germans with Bismark on a map slightly larger than huge I think, custom game settings with around 10 starting civs, and barbarians.

I'm somewhere around 30 AD right now.

Unloaded Modules:

Custom Buildings
Custom Civilizations
Custom Leaderheads(getting rid of those two allowed me to load the game in the first place).
Expansion
Holy Wars
Static
Translations

Stuff that might be happening atm:
Theres a revolution going on atm in the Aztec Kingdom, maybe creating a new civ.

Attached are the save and the log (renamed to txt because I didn't see "log" in the allowed attachments list).

I'm pretty sure I forgot some Info, but maybe I remember later.

EXE related crashes are likely a memory issue, especially since you are using DDR1 RAM, and don't have a lot of it. Do you have access to a better computer where you can try to continue your game?

Thx for the quick answer.
Well, the actual error is the first one,

AppName: civ4beyondsword.exe AppVer: 3.1.9.0 ModName: cvgamecoredll.dll
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 00144ce0,
when forwarding to the next turn from that save.

I'm pretty sure the exe is a memory issue, it was when loading the game.

I can doublecheck with a better PC, but this one is Windows XP, game runs on Steam, and the other one is Win7 64, so I'm not quite sure if that would work.
Well, would it?^^

Sorry for the doubled post:

I play with realistic culture spread but somehow culture never spreads to ocean! AI culture acutally does sometimes so it will be a bug.
Maybe because I play as Viking - but my assimilated cities neither don't get ocean in there culture.
Another minor issue is that AI culture more than one tile away stays there (forever if it does not get in my culture, i.e. like ocean that I never reach) after I capture their city. It's a problem as some cities like this are not connected to my capital for quite some time.
The last thing is a request - realistic culture spread makes culture spreading very slow and maybe not until 3 tiles after reaching 9000. So it would be nice to have one or two more culture levels, maybe 18000 and 27000, however, I would prefer the steps 7000 15000 25000.
Else I really love realistic culture spread and I want to play always with it as soon as it is problem free!

Thanks so much for your great mod!!

I never had to do anything special to install BTS with Win7. Check the Technical Help forum to see if they can help you.

Since Beta 3 or 4 I am unable to build medics or entertainers, they are not in the build list but they are still mentioned in civilopedia.
Also conquered cities don't have a moratorium period any more and are pacified straight after conquest.
Am I missing something?

Thanks
