Well the thing behind it is that you actually get an ICBM.:crazyeye:

Actually alot of things lately have been weird, Once i shut the game of, turned it back on and ALL my Snipers were Scientist:crazyeye:

Next time i shut it off, turned it back on my Imperial Guardman turned into a Robotic ImperialGuardman but with the same str of 14:crazyeye:
 
There's nothing better than Raging Barbarian AI to slow another AI down ;)

Barbarian World and allowing the barbs to form new civilizations will slow the ai down too. I'm playing a noble game now with those options on and i'm so far in front it's almost embarrising. This is being done playing as Roosevelt who I didnt think really came into his own in the game until late.
 
Has anyone noticed if the new events are working? It shows a message at the top of the screen but the box never pops up.
 
Have some (many) of the new resources (e.g: potatoes, tea, cotton...) and guilds/corporations (all except BtS') been removed from AND? I remember very well having seen all that stuff in RoM but I realized that they're not in my game of AND. I tried launching a new game with a random map and they're still not here. Is it normal ? Were they removed to keep balance? Or am I missing something (well I certainly am missing them) ?
 
Landmark sign around starting location doesn't show up unlike other landmarks (maybe because it is already revealed?) and it doesn't give commerce bonus with Folklore.

+1 commerce with Folklore thing shows up when you start "fresh" game but it disappears after you continued game with save files.
 
Has anyone noticed that if you spread multiple religions to the same city, you build the usual religious building, and you can, at the appropriate tech level, you can build an Academy to replace a building for each religion, so you can have two or more Academies in the same city. Is this intentional?

(sorry, I've been away a long time... both computers went down. Lack of cash lately, plus lack of time, until this week. Man, lots of changes since I last posted. I rather like that auto spread of corporations.)
 
Sorry to add to the load of bugs, but i am getting a few problems in my game.

First, the federal civic says it gives a -3000% revolution sentiment. Photo included. I also checked the XML file, and guess what? Thats right, it said a -30% bonus. Not 3000.

Second, i've been playing for a while now, but recently i have been noticing that my national stability seems to be corrupted. It dosent seem to matter how hard i try, i never get it to go below neutral. As you can see in my save, I have a wide variety of negative factors, and my only good factor is a 5% cult. spending. Still my national stability is flat, and another problem: there seems to be a discrepancy between the national stability report on the REV screen, and when a popup warning of revolution comes up. In the REV screen, it says my national stability is flat, yet in the popup, it says it is improving (despite all those negative factors+ almost no positive).
Earlier, it said it was flat in the REV screen, and the popup said it was worsening.

Oh, and i checked it the turn right before the popups AND immediately after the popups. Still flat.


Also, my OS is a chinese language OS. Could that be a contributing factor somewhere? I already know that it is for the XML files (ie. the french translations often screw them up, where an "e", for example, should have the tone symbol over it, if it's next to the </TEXT>, it will come out as ?/TEXT>, and prevent the whole file from loading.) So every time i install, i usually spend an hour or two correcting all the broken XML files. I'm not an expert, but its possible that it could be busted somewhere else in the XML files because of this.

Oh, and i'm running patch F.

Aha! I figured out why you are having so many problems. You didn't clean install. Delete your Rise of Mankind folder, install AND 1.74, and the latest patch. Don't install new versions over old ones, that's just asking for trouble.

Well, that is just not true. I DID clean install. I always do. Unless some info is kept somewhere else then ..bts\mods\Rise of Mankind

More to the point, i Did the clean install at least twice to be sure, when i saw the problem.

Do you need the savegame ? ( BUT i have only MP saves of the "constatnt Dark age" problem. )

And another unrelated issue with the latest patch.

I renamed 2 warrirors. Then built 3rd. But instead of having the same names they moved :

1'st warrior got the name of the 2nd one ( The custom name ).
2nd warrior got the defualt name with #2 in the name ( and city name)
3rd warrior got the defualt name as it should have been #3 and city name

I have Reported this couple of times earlier, noticed it with patch B.
You actually could plant forest on tundra tiles inside borders:)

Also you cant terraform desert tiles connected to rivers inside cultural borders or at least I cant:(

what a pitty ... its all about so nice :-) but some little features which doesnt work is very unhappy ...
In normal game without mods i cannt understand why you cannt plant forest ... in real life it possible too :-) why not there oO ... now i was so happy about that RoM AnD have this feature :-) but doesnt works oO ^^ ...

If you posted this earlier since patch B ... now on patch G it issnt fixed so ia will hope in the next patch to get it work ...

Is there an other possibility to get forest ??? far way on my map is forest ... my cultural borders are long enougth to reache it ... i build some preserved forest and hybrid forest improvements on it cause it should spread the forest ... but after long long long time nothing happends ... the forest DONT spread ... in RoM 292 it works but with AnD it stopped working ... .. .

rtt4a if you know a possibility to get forest :-) please tell me
 
This game crashes to desktop after one or two turns. It has been crashing periodically, but it seems truly stuck now. Thanks in advance for any help. I'm using patch G by the way.

Possibly, i dont really know.

All i do is just go through the files one by one and search for "?/", and then replace all the '?'s with '<'.

If i dont get it the first time, the CIV xml loader gives me warnings about which file, which line, so its really just a pain, and not (at least i haven't been able to confirm it yet if it is) a game breaking problem.

The OS just seems to not have the standard european languages that the english versions do. So whenever i install ROM/AND (also other mods), the special characters just come out as '?'s or even some crazy chinese characters sometimes. In the OS character map, however, it has all the characters an english OS would.

Oh yea, and italian, spanish, and german all do it too. Albeit not nearly as much as the french translations do, likely because the french translations make much more use of special letters. The only time (that i'm sure of at least) it's a problem is when a special letter is next to the < bracket. At least concerning the XML file not loading. The ones that arnt next to a < still dont load right, but at least i have yet to confirm a time where it damages something else.
 
Recommend you either push forward in future the prereqtech for Minor League Stadium or NOT replace Fencing Academy away by Minor League Stadium. Reason: they are way too close tech-wise.
 
I always feel both Fencing Academy and Martial Arts Dojos come too late in the tech tree to really benefit melee units properly.

Oh, I'm not concerned about melee units. I'm more concerned about gunpowder units. But you're maybe right about that. Up to Afforess how to tweak what I was talking about. I already tweaked it to my preference (Minor League Stadium not replacing Fencing Academy) but still I want to know if I have to tweak that every time there is a new version :).
