A New Dawn Bug Reports and Feedback

I'm having the exact same problem with 1.55 as strategyonly. I did a clean install, deleting my old RoM folder, installing 2.8, then running the WoC, then installing 2.81, then 1.53, then 1.54 (for good measure), then 1.55, and the PrereqOrCivics error pops up, down to the last letter identical to strategyonly's.

Don't know if it's savegame compatible, I've never tested it. It is mentioned in the download thread, you just have to click on the spoiler button under "Patches". What it does is detailed there.

You're right. I don't know why I keep missing that. It's probably the font size and colour.

Same issue as strategyonly, an xml error in the Noble_CIV4UnitInfos.xml file, is it fixable or do I need to wait for an updated patch?

I think I've got the same thing:
attachment.php

Translation of last line:
"Element 'PrereqOrCivics' is used but not declared in the DTD/Scheme"

In addition, after a BTD and reloading the last autosave, I am getting this:
attachment.php

I just forgot to mention that I am running RoM 2.81, of course.

I think Afforess accidently left out a XML file.

Yep, I forgot the new schema. I re-uploaded the patch with the schema, it's on the OP, underneath the 1.53 download link. See if it works for you guys. You should be able to install over the buggy 1.55 and have it work.

I like to play with Barbarianworld activated, but on Giant Maps (Smartmap Script) it takes up to 10mins to place all the cities. When deactivated the map generation is completed in less than 2 minutes. On Large Maps the time to generate the map with Barbarianworld was very short too.

Seems not to be save-game compatible? At least I am getting a message "Unable to open ..... file" (messages only appears for a millisecond, before Civ ctd's).

A fresh start did not show any of the aforementioned errors. :goodjob:

Thanks for your quick solving and a happy new year! :D

Which system specs?
On my rig it is done in around one minute. (i7 920, Win7 Ultimate 64bit, 8 GB RAM).
I am playing on gigantic maps, raging barbs, aggressive leaders, barb civs, barb world, .... Yet, for more action in the beginning, I am reducing the number of nations to 16. This gives you some pretty fighting with endless streams of Barbs. :p

In total I have to state that AND 1.54 (the last version which I have played to the renaissance age) seems to run much faster than previous versions of RoM.

AMD Phenom II X2 550, 4GB RAM(3,25 actually due to 32bit system), WinXP Home. Start was with Default number of Civs, 18 I think.

So the new patch is working? I just want to make sure, 'cause I'll be gone tomorrow.

Had not started a game yet but the game loaded just fine.
