I cannot find the reason why I am not able to build the cereal mills corporation.
I have researched corporation and refrigeration, I have the ressources (wheat etc) and I have a great merchant in a city with no world wonder or other corporations. What did I miss?

If you have realistic corporations on you can't found corporations with a great person they found and spread themselves without interferiance from the government, ie you.

Thanks for the quick reply! :goodjob:

In my next game I will turn "realistic corporations" off. I prefer to have more control over the guilds and corporations.

Two things, AND 1.74F

1. boats on boarder patrol get stuck in coastal forts.
2. what happens to this increased maintenance cost thingy when the second empire is your vassel? Luckily the third has defensive pact with me.

1.) Should be easy to fix.
2.) Since you don't use Better RoM, you'll never notice. Anyway, it's based on the largest team, not the largest player.

I know for fact that bonuses from new trade routes doesn't show. That's why paved roads seldom shows to give any bonus and why telefonica network only shows to you a culture bonus and no commerce bonus even though it provides two new trade routes.

I know it can be hard to program, because you have to know where the new trade routes will Ho before you can know thier effect. But for a glance, you could just calculate with the least profitable route and then subtract 10%. Unless there is an easier way :-)

And how exactly would you calculate it for a city with no trade routes? ;) The point of "Actual Effects" is to show what actually will happen. Since not even the game knows until you build it, there's no sense in guessing.

Got a WOC with 1.74F; save attached!

I lied. After playing with the code, I found a way to figure out future trade yields for the actual effects. Actual yields, not just guesses either. I will include this in the next patch.

While I think it's a good idea to even out the timeshifts for turns (as in, the Ancient Era and Classical Era last longer) I think it's a little too unbalanced. At the moment, I'm in a game 10% in, around 3300 BC, and other civs have already researched Bronze Working and Monarchy and founded Judaism and Zoroastrianism

Can I try to understand and maybe revise what you're trying to say here?

You're saying that many religions are a bit too far in tech tree and since Afforess have AI quickly research religion, no matter what religion it is, it hurt most of them because many RoM religions are a bit too far into tech tree. Am I right?

I have noticed that with AAranda's religions in play that the AI goes for shamanism (Shinto) which lets me get Dualism (Zoro), Monothisium (Jeudaism) and shamanism before they get it.

IDK about you, but that seems to line up fairly well with history. So, what's the problem? ;)

In a way thats what i was talking about in the SDK area, to see if there was a way to have only a certain amount of techs ahead that way no one can bee-line.

Yeah... Not happening.
In the pics below i am number 1 in Greatest Civs, number 1 in score but i am waaaay behind on techs of a civ that has LESS than half the score i do, and he has "11" more thechs than i do:crazyeye::(

Lower your difficulty level. You CAN adjust it in-game.

Cool.

can someone look at the Modern Steel Works? I fear it's replacing the wrong building (says Foundry but that has ben replaced long before by Factory, yet still gives negative actual hammers i.e. I think it replaces a modern building)

:)

Hi,

i don't know if this has already been mentioned, but i consistently (like every game since the betas) get that State Church civic gives a +1gazzilion espionage point for the religious buildings. It seems a little too extreme. Is that intentional?

I use 1.74F on 2.92.
I also use it in Linux 64bits with wine. Perhaps it is a wine problem, or a 64bits issue. For the rest works great though.

Ciao

Ciao,

discovered nothing about this? Is it a problem just for me?

Beside that i also have a few problem understanding how to use realistic corporations.

I am in the middle of future era right now, and basically in the whole world only corporate headquarters survived. There's no spread of corporations at all.

I believe that the fact that the Green civic has been imposed by UN made corporations struggle. I tried corporate welfare civic but didn't work much, and beside that UN imposed socialized again after a few turns.

I said then... damn it, let's go nationalist. Perhaps i'm doing something wrong but i cannot create the spreading agents.

In any case I really like the idea of having to make your Civ and cities more attractive for corporations.

In my opinion it would be great to have a slider to set taxes or subsidy on corporation to offset the effect of civics. I also think that a city with a good infrastructure (like harbors, roads, airports, banks) should attract corporations more.

In any case Thank you
Arroccali

Hi, I have got nasty problems with crashes. I am using ROM 2.92 and AND 1.74 and couldn't get further than late Medieval times in my various games. Could I give You anything to solve that? Don't know anything about modding and debugging process but want to help with that.

About religions:

I have to side with Afforess on this.

But the main caveat is that I use Limited Religion plus only 12 civs on Huge map. So I always get to Confucianism before other AIs do :). My favorite civ, China, and its "religion" must match for me ;). Everything else is randomized away from historical accuracy but not this . If you want a particular religion, YOU race to get that religion. If other AI get to it, deal with it :).

Easiest way is to upload your savegame before consistent crash. Then post the info from your A New Dawn installation log, to be found in RoM/ folder :). Open up A New Dawn.log with notepad and copy'n'paste stuff there to here along with your savegame.
