Civ4 City List map update: Finished America, Arabia, Aztecs, Babylon, Byzantium, Carthage, and the Celts. 27 more to do :ack:

No comments on my map?

I have one problem. I don't think the drug lords should be underestimated:

Leaving their southern border half-protected, while realizing victory in the north, they watched in dismay as half of Texas, Arizona, NM, and half of California fell into the hands of all the refugees and drug-addicted despots with help from the drug cartels. Mexico though encouraged by the UN to do something, realized, they could move the problem further north and allow their own citizens more peace, and less violence.

Civ4 City Map! Civ flags added so you can get a rough idea who is what colour. Mostly used background colours, but in a few cases used the secondary colours. e.g. Spain, where I used red instead of salmon since it showed up better. Also, Holy Roman Empire is the brownish colour while Celts are the yellow.

Spoiler :

Macau, I'd assume.

I'm still confused as to why Portugal is the only civ that has colonies as city names.

Vikings have Brattahlid in Greenland and Vinland in Canada. Also, Greece with Syracuse. :p

Only Byzantium. The Greek city beside it is Pella.

Looks like Springfield, Massachusetts, which probably isn't the Springfield I would have chosen, but it's hard to place that city when about 40 exist throughout the US.

That is the logical choice as it is probably the most important and well known (non-fiction) Springfield in the US (including its famous armoury), as well as the largest, I beleive. Although Illinois (as a state capital) is also a strong contender.
Or it could be a referenceto the Simpsons more than any real Springfield or to the sheer number of Springfields.

Every civ has the same amount of cities right? It looks like some have more but it is probably my imagination.
edited to correct a spelling error.

I'm more curious about the Viking city in the Ukraine.
That's Kiev- it was originally ruled by the Rus, a Swedish tribe who moved into the area in the 9th century- although presumably it has a different name in-game, so as not to clash with the Russian version.

'Swedish' 'tribe'.
