Good job andvruss. :)

So we're gonna strike the Iro now or never, with an early immo rush... neat. They won't get a chence to get HBR.

I'm not sure if I'll get this today, but propably tomorrow.

Due to a big change in my life I have to drastically decrease the number of SGs I play . I already had some run out and others close to it, but that proved to be not enough. As a consequence I will withdraw from this and other SGs. In hindsight, I could have seen that before this game started, so I am especially sorry, I did not and joined.

Please do not take it personal that I withdraw from your game. I had much fun on every of my SGs including this, but to keep it that way, I have to lower the number of games.

I am looking forward to play with you all again.

1750BC [Preturn]: Have a look around to get an idea on what's where...

not bad at all, except that we have too few workers. We need more.

1725BC [1] - 1700BC [2]: Passive-active attack force traveling towards Iroquois lands.

IBT: 3 Iro archers in view by the fastest warrior at their borders.

We research Alphabet > writing in 20 turns @80% sci.

Persepolis builds our first Immortal! Start a second one.

1675BC [3]: 2 spears catch up with the warrior and they stack up to fight against the 2 closest archers.

IBT: Our spearmen are heroic, and we win against both with minor bruises... and we now have an elite spear. (2-0)

1650BC [4]: The spears halt to heal, the warrior scouts a little further.

1625BC [5]: Our reg warrior kills the archer. (3-0)

IBT: We lose the warrior to a sudden archer attack from Niagara Falls. (3-1)

Pasargadae immortal > worker.

1600BC [6]: Our elite spear kills the archer, no leader. (4-1)

IBT: Persepolis Immortal > Immortal and it now got the iron hill into use so it is at 10spt.

1575BC [7]: We have 3 immortals. Gonna stack them and go destroy the Iro.

IBT: Pasargadae worker > immortal.

1550BC [8]: Pillaging stack is soon at the Iro capital.

1525BC [9]: Almost there...

IBT: Persepolis Immortal > immortal.

1500BC [10]: Next turn some pillaging can be done.

Note that there is an archer in the fog NW of the pillagers.

immortal stack of 3 is propably enough to take out at least Niagara Falls.

Sorry to see you go, grs. Our team is much weakened now. Hope your Rl goes well.

You will be missed grs. I have it. Playing this one on Pirates? :D

Pre-flight – 1500 BC – As usual Ankka leaves me with a well managed civilization. Looks like we’re marching on Niagara Falls with immortals.

IBT – we lose a spear to an Iroquois archer.

1475 BC – Kill the archer. (1-1)
1450 BC – Attack another archer with our warrior outside Salamanca and lose. Pillage some wines. (1-2)

IBT – Incredible. Our elite spear doesn’t even nick an attacking archer. (1-3)
Persepolis: immortal=>immortal
Susa: barracks=>worker

1425 – 1375 BC – Marching to Niagara Falls
IBT – Pasagardae: Imm=>Imm
An Iroquois archer attacks our stack of Immortals outside Niagara Falls. Doesn’t even scratch them and our GA is kicked off.
Persepolis: imm=>imm
Susa: worker=>spear

1350 BC – We kill the three defenders without losing a single HP. It autorazes and we pick up 1G. We also had a promotion to elite. Hiawatha is down to his last city. Science comes down. Writing due in three. (5-3)

1325 BC – March towards Salamanca. Run into a few Iroquois. Head our new immortals out in search of our next opponent.

IBT – Iroquois run away.
Pasagardae: imm=>imm

1300 BC – Lux up, science down

IBT – The two Iroquois archers attack our immortal just outside the city limits. We go one for one.
Writing=>Literature
Persepolis: imm=>imm (6-4)

1275 BC – Kill the spear heading towards our iron. Susa is switched over to an immortal. Science to 60%, lit due in 15 turns.

Hiawatha’s Last Stand:
ANK12_-_Hiawatha::s_last_stand.jpg

1250 BC - @ Salamanca – Kill the three defenders, capture the city. Check for anything to sell. Abandon the city. Capture two slaves and destroy the Iroquois. (9-4)

After action – We can get a three turn immortal from Pasagardae and a two turn immortal from Persepolis. Hopefully we can find our next victim and strike quickly. The immortal is very overpowered in the early AA and we need to strike quickly.

As soon as our lands are improved we need to start some strategic roads to speed our immortals on their way.

Also hope we can find someone to promote our elite units on.

Looks like we may have a large inland sea or a “U” shaped land mass.

Will carry on the good work!

Hunting parties on the road.

Sounds like a fine job, Commander Bugsy.

But do we have more workers than just the 2 we had when I finished? Any workers from the Iro?

And if you had razed Salamanca, we could have gotten workers... or does it matter whether you abandon or raze?

Let's try to use our GA to the ultimate max.

And someone who wants to join, we have 1 open spot.

2150-1000BC

Met the English, no deals done (nothing we needed or could afford) and declared war. Sent the Immortals on a sweep search north and east and south. Nothing to the south of us, found an English scout due east last seen heading southeast, and then ran into a Babylonian outpost due east as well as Babylon's cultural border. No contact made.

Kept the science guys working hard and Lit is due in 5, used up a worker to build an incense colony outside Pasargadae so we wouldn't go broke, then set Persepolis to building the Pyramids for a library or The Library, Susa to the Colussus for either the Colussus or a library, and Pasargadae to the Palace for a library.

IroExFor is heading back north and should probably bend around to the east to find the English. Northeastern sweep troops are gathering at the gates of Babylon.

nice game, it seems to go much better then your first try.

i'd like to join, but my AW-experience is pretty limited (Mic6 (win), RBCiv X-Man (loss)). my killing quote in mic6 was great (about 40-1), but this was due to grs' pillaging campain which forced our opponents to fight our cavs with outdated units.

You're in. Welcome! :D

Game full again.

Do you want to replace grs and play now or play after me?

Ok, feel free to play now.

And what I meant with replacing was that you replace him in the roster.

what about wonder building?
GLib would be a big help short-term, the colossus gives a lot more commerce until flight. both seem good, but can we afford to reduce unitbuilding to one city? seems like a team decision to me.

somebody suggested low profile until MA, building those two would fit in that plan. meanwhile the time of the immortal is fading. need to look at the save (can we defend ourselfs until the wonders are finished?), but i tend toward building both.

Don't build wonders axcept with Great Leaders would be my advice. Leader fishing is the key to get wonders in this game. We can't afford building a wonder by hand - and definitely not two at a time! :eek:

We need to keep the world at war and fear or they'll get too much land and we'll lose like in Ank10.

EDIT: ups, got it :coffee:

IBT:
babs call: can't get WC & myst so decide for myst for IW
they know indians and have spices
EDIT: declare war on babs

925 BC (3):
get lit->poly
destroy akkad (1-0)
change only pasargadae to lib (build GLib & colossus; sorry akkad, but we can go only 50% science during GA, more units aren't affordable)

900 BC (4):
pasar: lib->worker

875 BC (5):
pasar: worker->worker (those are for colonies)

IBT:
GA ends :cry:

850 BC (6):
run min science means +2gpt
kill bow (2-0)

825 BC (7):
pasar: worker->immo
fail to raze nineveh

IBT:
beat bow, promote (3-0)

800 BC (8):
raze niniveh
lose an immortal razing babylon (4-1)

775 BC (9):
spot english scout on a hill 5 SW of incense

750 BC (10):
prepare for assault on ur

notes:
one worker roading toward wines, another on his way for colony
two workers ready for road to spice
one worker irrigating near pas to bring water to susa
sorry for the elite immo in nomansland. wanted to make sure i know all land.
2 cities are locked for wonders, third one builds immos to release MP's

have fun finishing the babs :D (they got 3 cities, two will fall soon)
EDIT: on second thought, we should let them live until GLib is finished

Good job... I guess... I hope you declared war on everybody you could when you saw them?

Except I'm stronlgy against those wonder builds. We can't afford it. No way.
