plan do build our 2 'ducts, since we don't have currency (or did i missed that?).

250 AD (10):

lose 2 imm against hoplite (19-4)

notes:
chinese galley went N (guess it's between gold&silk)
english galley close to our homeland (F galley close by)
english built newcastle on ex-bombay
left you a little mess on english front, didn't expect to lose 2 immos
road to england almost finished, some workers should be sent back to add (native)/improve (slaves)

EDIT: is a sea-square with culture safe? in that case, i screwed up sending the galleys S...

Sounds fine. Too bad we didn't get the Great Lighthouse... but the cascade was too far and we didn't even try..

I guess we'll have to manage without.

Pre: MM Parasgarade for more ffod and commerce with imm due in same turns

IBT: Barely hold onto one galley, almost killed. Lose another full galley. I abandon all boats with units on them. Way too many enemy ships in the waters for any hope of safe transport.
Persepolis imm-imm
Parasgarade imm-imm
Susa galley-galley

Finally kill a 2hp spear with vet imm, promotes to elite
Vet imm kills 1 hp spear, raze Nottingham

imm kills reg spear at Reading, -2hp
vet imm flawlessly kills reg spear
Elite imm barely kills reg spear at Madras
Elite horse retreats from reg sword, -1hp

Finally ratio, 22-12
Horrible ratio, for at the beginning I lost galleys with troops in them due to overwhelming AI naval support and unit count. The RNG also hated me, for I think I won 1 out of 7 naval engagements.

Save

Hmm.. not too bad, the only problem was losing those galleys with Immos in them.

I can't understand the naval fighting, really, as it seems somehow a lot weakened compared to 2 warriors fighting... :hmm:

Good move on switching Susa to harbor. Vet galleys will help.

Got it.

350AD [Preturn]: Check to see where we are going... cities are well MMed.

Hurry the harbor in Susa. Wonder where the fleet is but then realise some bad RNG luck has made it disappear... and we have a leader! Cool.

IBT: We get Feudalism from the GLib.

Persepolis immo > market.
Susa harbor > galley.

English start Sun Tzu's... they're under siege and they're building 2 wonders... idiots :lol:

360AD [1]: Cyrus goes toward home.

Kill 2 spears in Calcutta and raze the place.

Lose an immo to a pike in Hastings... which is on a hill. The pike takes some damage, though.
Kill the spear there with an immo.
But lose a full-health immo to the wounded pike in Hastings. Gah.. (3-2)

IBT: Lose 2 immos to English swords. :(

Pasargadae immo > immo.

370AD [2]: Kill an English settler pair, regroup in former India. (4-5)

IBT: Susa galley > galley.

380AD [3]: Lose an elite Immo straight to a reg spear in Madras. No damage inflicted... wonder what our troops had been drinking?

Next two immos do better and we kill 2 spears. An archer can be seen there, though.

Kill also an English stray sword in the wilderness. (7-6)

IBT: Lose an Immo to an English sword. They are now attacking more strongly, and our troops are a little scattered and coming one at a time.. (7-7)

390AD [4]: Kill the archer in Madras and raze.

Also kill one of the swords with a horse. (9-7)

Cyrus goes into Susa and the people hurry a great Wonder, the Hanging Gardens in his honor.

IBT: Our immortals beat up a pack of Indian archers. (10-7)

Pasargadae immo > immo.
Susa HG > galley.

400AD [5]: Kill 2 spears in Madras (or some Indian city, anyway) and the Indians are no more.

Kill a couple of English swords. (14-7)

IBT: Persepolis market > immo.

410AD [6]: Kill a single English sword in the tundra. (15-7)

IBT: Susa galley > galley.

420AD [7]: Regrouping.

IBT: Persepolis immo > immo.
Pasargadae immo > immo.

Chinese complete the Great Wall. This will make invasion harder.

430AD [8]: We have 4 or 5 immos outside the Tundra city of England. But they have a sword waiting there..

IBT: Lose an immo without inflicting damage on the sword. (15-8)

Susa galley > galley.

440AD [9]: Lose a horse attacking a sword.

Lose 2 immos and kill 2 spears razing Newcastle or something. Not sure of the name.. I manage to forget them before I write them up :lol: (17-11)

IBT: Lose a wounded immo and a worker to the English.. gah. (17-13)

450AD [10]: Kill two English swords and a Chinese settler pair. (20-13)

The kill ratio was awful. Beware of the English. They have swords and pikes. Tough.

Good choice. I was meaning to advocate that, but you already fulfilled the build.

Chinese complete the Great Wall. This will make invasion harder.
Only if they already have walls. In Civ 3 and i think PTW, The Great Wall only doubles effects of existing walls and barbarian bonus.

Pre-flight – 450 AD – Things are looking up. We’re down to four opponents. Three are on another continent. Good thing this was a pangaea. We’re strong compared to everyone but Greece. We’re average to the Greeks.

We have a nice military, but we don’t have any catapults. Now that we can get our units through the jungle, we should build cats.

The power chart is interesting. Our power has stayed the same while the three on the other continent have increased and everyone on this continent has decreased.
Wake up some slaves. No holidays!

IBT – Lose an imm to an English sword.
Susa: galley=>cat

1. 460 AD – There is an English galley just north of Susa. I upgrade the warrior in Susa for defense.
March on Hastings. Attack the murderous English sword and…
ANK12-460ADLeader.jpg

He’ll head home and try and build Sun Tzu’s.
Lose a galley to the English galley. We need cats to get the force multiplier going. (1-2)

IBT – Lose a sword outside Hastings to another English sword. England drops off a sword in our backyard.
Persepolis: imm=>imm

2. 470 AD – Kill the Englishman in our backyard. Sink the English galley.
@ Hastings – Kill two pikes, lose an immortal. A wounded pike still stands.
March some immortals towards the English iron. Establish a furs colony which makes a lot of people happy. (5-4)

IBT – Lose another immortal to a English sword.
Pasargadae: temple=>immortal
Susa: cat=>cat

3. 480 AD – Maneuvering. (5-5)

IBT – I hate this RNG. We have a redlined immortal on a mountain. He is attacked by a redlined sword, across a river and loses. The Greeks drop off a settler pair north of England.
Persepolis: imm=>imm

4. 490 AD - @ Hastings – Kill two pikes and raze the city and the Great Lighthouse. Kill the Greek sword and capture two more settler slaves.
Move our immortals onto the English iron mountain. (8-6)
IBT – We lose another immortal in England. Russians drop off a settler pair. Theology and Chivalry pop from the GL.
Pasargadae: imm=>imm
Susa: cat=>cat

5. 400 AD – Kill the English sword. Kill the Russian horse guarding the settler. Pillage the English iron. Lose an immortal to an English spear in the open. (10-8)

IBT – Sink a Russian galley. Alex wants us to pay him for peace. Ha!
Persepolis: imm=>pike

6. 510 AD – More maneuvering. I think the English are going to overrun our furs colony, so I raze lux by 10%. (11-8)

IBT – England overruns the fur colony.
Pasargadae: imm=>knight
Susa: cat=>knight
With five cities, Lizzy starts to build the Sistine Chapel. :smoke:

7. 520 AD – Kill an English spear in the open. (12-8)

IBT – Persepolis: pike=>Sun Tzu’s

8. 530 AD – Hurry Sun Tzu’s with the leader. That will deny the AI most of the important wonders. The Chinese have the Great Wall, but that is useless in 1.29.

Kill an English sword running for London. (13-8)

IBT – Cathy was us to give her Chivalry for peace. Slap!
Persepolis: Sun-Tzu=>knight
Everyone cascades to Sistine.

9. 540 AD – Marching on London, which is defended by spears. The Chinese have founded a city down on the Tundra. (14-8)

10. 550 AD – @ London – kill two spears.

Lose a wounded immortal to an English archer.

After Action – I have been building a cutoff road to the front. Continue improving around our cities.

Susa is now at 20 spt. We may want to build cats there, although we may be able to get another two or three shields out of it. With one more shield in Persepolis, we’ll have a three-turn knight factory. Pasargadae, still needs some work.

If we get another leader we should consider a knight army. Just fill it with one knight and get it across to the other continent.

Nice job.

Got it. Loading 1.29 now...

Easiest way to get to 24spt at Persepolis is with WLKTD so raise the luxury tax to do just that. Income is still in black ink (+4)

Lose an Immo to English sword.

560AD
Kill English sword 1-1

Lose galley to Greeks 1-2

Pull forces back from London to wait for cats and reinforcement. Susa starts cat.

570AD
Advancing on Anyang, healing EEF

Lose another galley to Chinese. English lose an archer to EEF 2-3

580AD
Kill Chinese warrior and capture two more slaves.
3-3.

590AD
Lose two immos to sword and archer counterattack at London. Learn Engineering. 2-5

600AD
Destroy Anyang. 3-5

Not much happens between 600 and 640. Moving into position for London.

In 640 Greeks droop off a hoplite and two swords between Susa and Persepolis. Kill the hoplite but lose an immo to a sword. 4-6

Kill two English archers on the road to London. 6-6

650AD
Cats, a knight and an immo eliminate the Greek threat
8-6

Start the march on London with cats, immos, knights and a horsie.

The March on London:

Londonis yours, el_fiilet!

Good job, Bugsy and Bede.

The English have been having some way too good RNG luck... killing immos with almost every attack they make...

But I think that SoD should be enough to finish the English off...

The problem here is that because we don't have railroads, we'll have to leave quite some units onto our home continent to get rid of the landings.

notes:
troops waiting to attack oxford (maybe too few for next turn)
many slaves used as scouts (i don't like fog of war)
can manage pasar & susa for 3 turn knights, but need WLTK. cathedrals would be cheaper then lux.
used chops for pasargadae (we got enought slaves)
astro in 10 turns (-42 gpt)
in 9 turns 3 galleys can be ready for invasion on russia
used cats to hurt galleys
