also, as CFC is the flagship Civ fan site, merging it with Poly would only bring us down and up you guys to a higher level, since we have more mods, better OT, and more active site in general.

Seriously, while I recognize that CFC is currently the better Civ site, especially for modding, and I like the CFC OT better (which is subjecive and most on Poly would differ), I think many people here are also underrating Apolyton - it's not just "that other ugly site" .

Oh, and I hope that civjunction is more civfanatics-y than apolyton-y. The way I see it, Civfanatics is to PC as Apolyton is to Mac (if you couldn't tell, I'm a PC user). I'm saying that about the site itself, not the commutiny. I'm sure that Apolytonners are just the same as us.
And I have two ideas why there are more civfanaticsers that apolytonners: civfanatics looks better and doesn't require a first and last name. It is fun to have people only know you by a nickname.

Can't do such a thing. Wikipedia requires reliable sources - no reliable source on the merge outside of the pages itself.

Never heard of Aboutus, but it looks exactly like Wikipedia. Look at an article in both of those sites and you will see that the only difference is the logo. Even the background is the same.

If it is a hoax, then the folks at CPC are going to very extraordinary lenghts. Their original forum structure had two NES sites: one in Civ 4 and one in Civ 3. When I mentioned that NESing was not related to either, they set up a separate forum and removed the ones under Civ. That seems a bit much for a hoax that would be exposed wihtin a few hours.
