12:46pm....still no answer....I don't know what to think. It seems like an April fool's joke, but had it not been posted on April 1, it would have seemed real enough. It could be real, and in that case, they posted it on April 1 to make it seem like a joke, then they surprise everyone by confirming it....let's wait and see!!

Aw man, I go to lunch and come back and nobody's confirmed anything! And I forgot it was still April 1st in Hawaii when I posted! So not only do I get no answer I also look stupid. This sucks.

I do agree about the new Civ Junction site. Even the "PLUS" tab just links to Poly about paying them money.

It´s great that such a lot Apolytoners are helping in that April´s joke of Civfanatics. This year Apolyton had another April´s joke. But Civfanatics?

May be, I can use the presence of even prominent Apolytoners like Solver in a forum, where I can post, to help me with a problem:

I have a problem in receiving the automated activation mail at Apolyton and at CFC while registrating (may be caused by the space in my mail adresse). The following happened:

In may 2005 most civers guessed about the features of the -at that time long awaited - Civ 4. While all people guessed about the new Civ 4, I had a cheap German computer magazine for some euros, with tons of informations and screenshots about that game. I mailed to the Apolyton help adress, about that problem with the activation mail, but I didn´t get any help. Than I mailed a private mail to Locutus about those -at that time- outstanding news about Civ 4 and that I can´t post anything at Apolyton cause I don´t receive an activation mail.

My news was set to the Apolyton headline of that day and a lot was written about the information and screenes I did give to them: http://apolyton.net/news/index.php?Category=All&month=200505 .

But I didn´t get any help with my registration problem. Even when I contacted the help adress at Apolyton two times again and hinted, that I wanted to post something to my informations that are at the current headline of the Apolyton news, I didn´t receive any answer or help.

Quite different at CFC: When I mailed to Thunderfall about my problem with receiving the activation mail, he helped me within some days.

So it would be very nice, if I now could get the help in registration at Apolyton too. At Apolyton I´m registered with my normal nickname Blue Lion.

I haven't read the whole thread yet so I don't know if anyone else has responded to you yet. When we had that email exchange I provided you with a link to fix the problem. You thanked me for it and said you would try it, after that I never heard from you again. I assumed that the problem had been solved. If I had known it hadn't, I would've been more than happy to help you further.

Now that I know you're still having the problem I went in and fixed your account, you should be able to post on Apolyton again. At the time our help system was broken, which is why you never got a response there, but that's long since been restored. So if you need any further help feel free to contact us there (or email me directly). I apologise for our initial unresponsiveness and the problems you had, but if we had known they were still an issue after I tried to help you we would've fixed them years ago...

Apolyton sucks, and if we joined them, it would the horrible to Civfanatics, that's because we won't join them. Civjunction links are for either Civfanatics or apolyton, which will make it easier to delete after they say that is joke

It would be cooler if the joke was to call it Civ "Junkie" instead. This way its not a constant reminder that are distinct audience has sided with these apple bottoms but more a call to realize what we both have in common.
