A degree of freedom. The state still uses the police to crack down on the opposistion. Hardly a free state..
For police oppressing opposition, the west has too--for example, oppression of Nazis and some violent rioters.

I want the National Front and Mossadegh back into power; or at least somebody that hasnt been around the political sphere since the Iranian Revolution of 1979.
Your country was one of the best in the Middle East with a democratic structure (the Majlis), stable economy, and high literacy rates compared to other ME countries at that time until the US
decided to kick Mossadegh off power. Now my question, PersianBoy, is this: Arent Iranian citizens sick and tired of old, cagey politicians hiding behind the facade of religion?

For political rights, foreign citizens (esp. not ethnic Chinese) have better chance to escape political persecution than local people. They're more likely to be expelled rather than jailed. But since you look like Chinese, well, a little more trouble. Especially with anti-Korean sentiment on the rise.

Ordinarily, I don't question people's grammar or spelling but I thought he was being a bit rude and had to call him out on it.
Great questions btw.
