Ask one who has been to Nirvana

My stance on psychedelics is summed up by this video clip:

The return of the Gods is already under way. It can not be stopped. And psychedelics will make it possible. The John-Hopkins-University is already on board. Psychedelics will first revolutionize psychotherapy. And eventually, our spirits. Because this world is dying. And we need to be saved. We need to be freed from the frame of the picture and brought back into the center, right between the picture and the observer, both in clear sight.
Aha, the wisdom of the ancients! Plus, God in pill. Your connection to Nirvana and Buddhism and its pathways was severed with this post. This is just recycled 60s druggie talk. Timothy Leary revisited!

Certainly psychedelics can change your life and impact how you view the world. They may even point you in a more meaningful direction, but don't mistake that for any cosmic truth. It certainly isn't the Buddhist Nirvana.

Are you sure it wasn't just a dopamine-induced hallucination?

As someone who has achieved nirvana, can you tell me if Terx was drunk or high when he thought he achieved nirvana?

5ht2a receptor agonists are da bomb

Actually his experience is very common or even not that remarkable in comparison with other experience of psychedelic trip. Well not until they found the traumatic one during one of the bad-trip that can even gave them a PTSD.

You are right that psychedelics alone do not lend themselves to lead one to Nirvana. That is a rather special circumstance, which is interralted with my indivdual path.
But I have to disagree with you.
Buddhism is born out of Hinduism. Hinduism is born out of psychedelics, as are all religions on this planet.
Soma (the god, the plant and the drink) is mentioned in the Rig vedas which are hymns and among the earliest Hindu writings. There are over 1000 hymns and soma (in all its forms) is connected to about 10% of them. No one knows which plant the drink was derived from. The idea that it was psychedelic was put forth in the late 1960s (surprise surprise!). Like so many, you are accepting one small part of the tradition and declaring that it is the fundamental truth for the entire religion. It is like saying that the Song of Solomon is the core of the Old Testament and the basis for all the rest. While Buddhism is a derivative of Hinduism, its truths are certainly not drug induced. The oral traditions of the Rig vedas go back over 4000 years; the written ones over 3000. Buddhism doesn't appear until about 1000 years after the the earliest written Hindu texts.

As for all religions being rooted in psychedelics, keep drinking that kool aid.

The young Christians? Far out. Aborigines? Riding that flow. Did you know, Birdjaguar, that the ancient Greek had a special ritual where their elders got together to trip something hard? Socrates did it. Plato did. And did you know that eventually, this tradtion was shut down? Did you know, that a warning was given, when this happened? The warning was, that the entire world depended on this ritual, and that destroying it meant destroying the world.
Interesting idea. Do you have any actual support for the claim?

Birdjaguar, did you know, that when a scientist studied DMT in the USA, he got pretty spooked by the whole experience? Because you see, I personally haven't consumed any, but I can tell you that DMT is a whole new world with actual entities and spirits directly talking to you. You are shot into a different dimension. And now check this out Birdjaguar: Every single, and I mean every single one, who volunteered to take DMT in that study, was absolutely certain after taking it that what this person saw, where this person went, wasn't mere imagination, but somewhere real.
Every one. Really nerved the scientist out, eventually.
And did you know, Birdjaguar, that even though psychedlics create the most intense experiences imaginable, their dosages is vanishingly small compared to other mind altering substances. Like it was.. just a key, a key to something that was already there.

No drugs were directly involved. But I was still riding the mild after-winds of a very clarifying experience.
So you've read about or talked to people who have taken DMT or LSD and have been mesmerized by the "Wow, groovy baby" chatter that usually ensues. Yes mind altering drugs do affect the brain and often in strange ways. That doesn't make the experience religious or even anything more than something going on in your head.

A religious experience is also "something going on in your head" whether you smoked a burning bush or not

However, I do very much claim to have obtained A fundamental and universal truth about - literally everything.

Have you gazed into the Empyrion? Seen Infinity Eight? Know the significance of three, six, and nine? Looked down into the realm of torture, seen past it and saw false paradise? Peered further down into the horror of Oblivion, where the souls of suicides go? The cosmic horrors that dwell within and elsewhere? The red star at the end of time? The city of Lady Luck before the Great Recoil? The black she-serpent who personifies as Lady Luck? Seen the great war at the end of time for control of the red star and the right to settle the city? Wasted vessels among the void who could not reach the star with their occupant's frozen and lifeless as the Universe suffers from the Heat Death? The Barge? MK-Ultra? The Symphony of Europe? Greys? The Golden Ratio? Principle of Thirds? The true meaning of chess? Perfect people who are actually cosmic horror demon serpents in disguise that hail from reality's inception and are tangled together across multiple dimensions and timelines? Gorgonopsids, and what truly caused the Permian Mass Extinction? Quetzalcoatl beings and the great Mesozoic decline? Garuda Bird thing with scale/feathers of arsenical bronze? Great red dragon of war, fire, Mars, petroleum, car culture, and iron? The Martians (A.K.A Hellcats)? What really happens deep in the Congo and Amazon Basin, and what it will mean for the World's future food security and wars over future sources of rare earth metals (A.K.A. the next middle east)? George Jetson's wife having been used as WWII propaganda? The Garden of Eden having multiple mirror versions of itself across the world due to the recurrence of the Great Recoil, while at the same time not truly existing? Ben Franklin knowing of Infinity Eight's power with the Federal Reserve knowing as well, hence the Ben Franklin Infinity Dollar being the biggest inside joke? How Egyptian pharos used rainbow dragon power to enslave demons to do their bidding while at the same time going mad because of it? How pharos used the Golden Ratio to project their souls into imagery and iconography so they could preserve their consciousness? Atlantis being a place where Poseidon's daughter's would eat mortal men while he ground them up with his golden chain fishnet? Poseidon really being a rubber puppet like disguise (like the Burger King Mascot) with his true form being a horrendous sea monster who is known as Leviathan? Greek Fire having been inspired by a mysterious fuel Poseidon uses in his domain (made with seabed coal, oceanic petroleum, and weird blue stuff), burns blue underwater. Christmas trees representing the Empyrion? Heaven's potential complacency with evil? The War in Heaven? The sneaky archers Lucifer used in that battle who were shrouded by darkness formed by his really bright golden appearance? How he almost distracted God by having him focus on himself, but his left flank was too eager and charged in with a cry of battle that alerted him to his deception? How a havoc serpent allowed him to manifest a form in the first place? The Axis of Time through the middle of the Empyrion upon which it rotates upon said axis? The Ouroboros which swirls around all which I mentioned above, closes the Third Eye, and prevents us from seeing for the sole purpose of preventing us from going mad and to bind the other realms away from us as well as protect us from the numberless cosmic horrors?

If you have not seen any of this then no, you do not know a fundamental and universal truth about - literally everything.:nono:

She got enlightened after looking at the d character you type, congrats Chief :goodjob: if you are Bodhishatva Bodhidharma, Amy is like your Dazu Huike.
