For goodness' sake, can anybody here read? This is happening too many times now, where people just do not read how discussions have progressed.

This has already been dealt with. The only thing annoying here is you.

The BBC accent is based on Kentish.

Exactly. So who started this same thread all over again?

I have tried to explain again but it's all been said before.

Can somebody please ask a new question?:)

Ansar started this new thread. When I was saying "how this already been discussed", I was referring to how there is no single Canadian accent, no single American accent, or no single British accent.

Wonderful.

Since everyone is in agrement, lets move on.

But everybody has been consistently misunderstanding what I say, despite several further explanations. And now, I'm now being quoted as being the person who started this thread, which I am not.

That's not wonderful, funny guy.

If you have street food in your country, how good is it? And do you have to worry about hygeine?

well this is not specifically a nation question, but I am still curious :)#

why did you leave Canada?

After fall of communism there were many good foods, but in small difference. However during progress from early 90s quality is lowering, and food become relatively expensive. On the other hand, menu is larger. So I have only some places where to buy street food, sadly not in my route to university.

Question for our Latin American posters: Do you feel insulted when people lump your nations in with the African nations? If so why, what would you compare your countries to instead?

Question for our African posters: Do you feel insulted when Latin Americans insist that their countries aren't like Africa? It isn't all that bad where you live, right?

Which is exactly what I have explained, again.
I know the first thread got too long but surely we don't have to
cover the same territory all over again?

Someone else started talking about it...

Handbags away, I wasnt being funny. People misunderstood, but all agreed with the same point.

Everyone is, therefore, in agreement.

Generally it smells wonderful, but leaves you feeling used, sullied and slightly ripped off.

There is definately a dirty joke to be made of the last line, but I cant quite be bothered.

Question for those living in a third/fourth world hellhole:

How can you afford a computer and the power it requires?:mischief:

well this is not specifically a nation question, but I am still curious :)#

why did you leave Canada?

Why not? It's kinda of a long story. I travelled to Europe when I was 27
cause I wanted to see more of the world (Ya, I'm that old. Not all Civ'ers
are young, you know! Some of us even have grandchildren!).
I've seen nearly all of west and central Europe except Scandinavia,
plus Egypt and Turkey. Have lived for short spells in Ireland and Spain, but
mostly in England cause my mother was English. Dual nationality.
Settled in London when I started living with an Aussie girl. Been with my
English girlfriend for 15 years. Sold our house in London 3 years ago and
took early retirement in Cornwall, 20 miles west of Plymouth. (Looe)
Love living here, by the docks of an old fishing port. Go sea fishing a lot.
Probably die here too but will play Civ to the end. Never really wanted
to go back to Canada. Europe is where I live. This is my home.:)

Food is good, heavenly even. And I dont even have to wash my hands to eat it. The cleaniness just cleans my hands for me

When did that happen? Just curious.

All the time, people talk about starving children and dictatorial governments and stuff in places that are really much better off then that. And then there is the whole general "third world" classification.

edit: A specific incident I can remember was an SA thread on Mexican elections when the Mexicans who were posting (rich Monterreyians/Mexico City denizens for the most part) were surprised that the Americans didn't view Mexico as being higher than a third world nation.

The title makes sense.

And my question:

To people living in countries with a large land area: Have you ever travelled to the ends of your country?

Yes, I've been to Coney Island. But that's pretty much only one "end" of the country.

If you have street food in your country, how good is it? And do you have to worry about hygeine?

It varies, but there are some good hot dogs and Middle Eastern food to be had from the carts all through Manhattan (and they're are some in the other parts of the city, also). Coffee and bagels/donuts are also usually fairly decent for a low price. Not the quality of a Dunkin' Donuts or anything like that, but quick and cheap does the trick. Never tried anything from a "Nuts 4 Nuts" cart, yet. And I don't worry about hygiene because that's part of the adventure! Makes New Yorkers strong like bull!

To people living in countries with a large land area: Have you ever travelled to the ends of your country?

Not all of them.

I've been as far northeast as northern Maine, at the Canadian border; as far north as International Falls, at the border of Minnesota and Canada; as far south as Miami and the Everglades, and as far west as Colorado Springs and northeastern New Mexico.

Yes, I've been to Coney Island. But that's pretty much only one "end" of the country.

I have been to both Florida and Caniflonia, though im not a citizen of that country.
