It might be good for you.
updated to v2.0
Thanks!!! I thank personally from myself and friends to fans of game
Glad you like it!
You know, I didn't realize that this wasn't both an Aboriginal and Australian civilization. So I started working on an Aborigine leader. Check my LH gallery to see a preview.
Well, for the reasons I stated earlier I never understood the idea behind having an aboriginal civilisation on it's own. I reckon an Aboriginal LH for the Aussie Civ would be a nice addition.
Will DL the new 2.0 and give it a whirl... thanks guys...
Hey mate, this looks bloody unreal.
I'll give it a crack.
Well, while I get your point about an Aboriginal civilization, I don't think it really has much merit. I mean, we aren't in charge of selling the game or making it marketable, we are just modders, and I have seen worse civs than an Aborigine civ created. I don't see a reason why there SHOULDN'T be an Aboriginal civ, it is just for fun after all.
I really think that having the Aborigines and the Australians as the same civ is the same as having the Native Americans and the Americans as the same civ.
Would you really put Roosevelt and Sitting Bull in the same civ?
You're correct BUT White Australian history is only 220 years old. For the sake of a mod on a game where you play from the dawn of time until the modern day it fits. The troops actually fit an 'Australian' mod, rather than be culturally correct.
I know the Inca could be used as a counter argument but they ceased to exist and hence have no connection to the future (this last sentence I've retyped four or five times - it's not in the context of being a smartass or anything)
Yeah, but then you are getting into simple semantics and technicalities. If you want to get super technical the Romans and Byzantines should be one civ, the Americans shouldn't be in it at all, the Germans shouldn't be a civ either unless they are split into different civilizations, and one could go on and on with this.
I agree completely with what MadmanOfALeader said; combining the Aborigines and Australia is like combining the Native Americans with the Americans.
So is White American history.
Actually I was more into having native early units for the USA than what I have now: Captain America units. This is one of the times when I went with the public request and yielded to common demand. (though I smuggled in a native horse archer anyway)
There are countless examples of no clear/obvious civ progression throughout the whole course of history represented in Civlization - thus at the end it all breaks down to personal preference, which might even differ from case to case with different civs.
Which Citystyle does Australia use? I tried them (2.0) last night and had the same initial problem as I did with Hungary (Magyar style cities) before it was corrected. I get a tech advisor popup and no interface.
Unfortunately the English carrack is also non-existant in QC's VD v7.5. If you remove the English Carrack definition there should be no tech advisor popup and no interface problem.
There should be no problem with the citystyle, just checked, it could be a side effect of the problem with Hungary possibly, so I'd suggest reinstalling QC.
If I had to guess, I'd say Anglo-American.
may i point out that the aboriginies didn't have bows
Actually I'm dying for a boomerang wielder aborigine! Care to make one?
Someone could probably make one by taking the Francesca animation the_coyote made and changing it to a boomerang.
