The Babe Thread has been temporarily closed. There seems to be some disagreement and distraction.

As one source of the disagreement, I will say this; A thread intended for men to ogle scantily-clad women is explicitly sexist, and is not the moral high ground to lecture others from.

I openly admit I introduced pictures of European Song Contest winner Conchita Wurst as a lark. After getting everyone's attention I was going to post some stories about the bigoted Russians expressing outrage about "...the end of civilization."

Little did I expect that same small-mindedness right here from the CFC forums, which I had previously thought liberal and progressive.

The Transgendered are among us now - everywhere, openly. And some of them are amazingly beautiful people. Especially some of the Transgendered women.

You all know me - conservative, Catholic, Republican - and even I can see that. It's that obvious.

I regret having offended some members. I regret being responsible for a popular thread being closed. Yet I don't believe I'm in the wrong. I would do it again. Everything needs shaking-up occasionally.

And no trans, the only reason you posted that was to get a reaction. There is no way you thought that was ok a man in drag with a beard. There are plently of places you sjws can go you've got reddit, tumblr and plently more I'm sure.

True, I admit CW for a reaction. But I've posted Jenna Talackova a couple of years ago because she was not only controversial, but quite beautiful.

I think the thread rules already cover things, cause they specifically ask that the females posted are indeed seen as attractive by the person who posts them. So maybe we can stick to that

At any rate we all know that the thread won't have much images of transgender people, the current phase is obviously a reaction and not something thread-based.

Very reasonable. I'd agree to that.

But I think we'll be seeing more transgenders as time goes by. Sexual practices and social standards are changing fast...

Moderator Action: When a thread is closed, please don't create another thread to discuss that thread closure. Particularly so when further action is pending. The general transgender topic is one that is ripe for discussion, but please stick to that general topic, rather than discussing something specifically the subject of moderator deliberation. So you can create another thread about attitudes towards the transgendered population, for instance, but please avoid talking about the babe thread specifically for now.
